The Weapons

The innovative blue print for the 1786 Redeemer is the textbook design for young Darkwatch engineers attending their first year of academy. Ingenious in its clever use of existing technology, the Redeemer boasts a removable cartridge secured to its barrel by ten jagged iron teeth. While most revolvers in the 19th century are muzzle-loading, the Redeemer uses modified ejector pins to continuously feed loaded cylinders up into the weapons muzzle. Once its munitions are expended, a cylinder is automatically ejected through the breech to make room for the next. In this way, a Darkwatch Regulator can discharge up to 24 rounds before needing to replace the cartridge.

The careful balance between the weapons accuracy, rate of fire, and stopping power make the Redeemer a standard firearm for non-specific Darkwatch patrols.
