Background: Born at Red Brook Hold, Aislyn had a run-of-the-mill childhood with her older brother. Her mother died when she was about 8, around the same time that her brother was sent to the Harper Hall for training. Her father, being the hold's only harper, a rather busy man, and not knowing how to cope with his wife's sudden death, decided to send her along with J'ron to the Harper Hall, even though she had no musical talent worthy of such a trip. There she picked up a few lessons with the drums, and can still reasonably interpret them. She was not at the Hall for long, as a searchrider soon came and took her brother and her to Dark Cove Weyr. There, from Julanith's first clutch, Aislyn Impressed green Lanayeth, and her brother, bronze Volath. All was well and good and relatively ordinary (by Dark Cove standards, of course) until the plague struck. One of its first casualties was brown Halith, who had flown Lanayeth twice. His rider, Cr'stian, had only recently asked Aislyn if she would be his weyrmate when the terrible disease settled into the Weyr. The pain and suffering endured by the dragon, and therefore also by his rider, was too much for most to bear and Cr'stian died along with his brown. Not long after Cr'stian's death, Aislyn's brother J'ron and his bronze fell victim to the illness as well. Aislyn was devastated, but still managed to aid the Weyr in its time of need as her Lanayeth was unaffected physically by the plague.

Personality: Originally a very bubbly young girl around those she was comfortable with, Aislyn has come to be more sarcastic and apprehensive since the plague began taking its toll. She still loves a good conversation, however, as she overcame her slight shyness during weyrling training. She is very trustworthy and reliable, and rarely fails to fulfill her responsibilities. She has nearly come to believe that any man she loves will abandon her in some fashion, as her father left her at an early age and her brother and almost-weyrmate were killed by the plague.

Relationships: Sometimes bothers others if she starts giving them unwanted advice, but overall a well-liked dragon
