| Some people do not understand how Sr. JD, one lone person, can bring together so many people at the same time and place. Many people from all walks of life were there and that is definetly a good thing. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Dear Journal, 3:45 p.m. Mum and I got a ride to the Tower restaurant for the Tower Dinner. We had a nice BBQ meal of chicken or ribs or both, cornbread, baked beans, cole slaw, iced tea, chocolate chip cookies and watermelon. Ron Rich played for us and that was great. I just couldn't seem to hear enough Sr. JD songs, but when can I ever?! 5:45 p.m. Roger gave us a ride to the campfire. We saw the giant Kermit the Frog which pointed the way to the campfire. Poor Kermie he looked like he was in stocks. [AAWWHH!!] We noticed that the campfire was not yet lit. The reasons behind that were soon explained. Letters from each othe Sr. JD host places [Aspen, Calfornia and Australia] were read. A song was sung and played by ME and RavensChild. Ther was a ceremony to light the campfire. Then the singing began. Playlist: 1) Rocky Mountain High 2) Sunshine on My Shoulders 3) Wild Montana Skies 4) You Say that the Battle is Over 5) A tribute song 6) Eclipse 7) Homegrown Tomatoes 8) Alaska and Me Break for Star Gazing and an explanation of the song "Spirit." Next came the Kermit Playhouse done from atop SkyKing's van. It was adorable. Anyone that did not make it to the campfire missed something great! Kermit spoke to Miss Piggy. "Rainbow Connection" played while everyone joined in singing. Then Kermie spoke about Peace and Christmas. "It's in Every One of us." played. That is such a lovely song. Each of us were united singing together. It was simply wonderful! What a PROUD moment that was! 9) Whispering Jesse 10) Chirstmas for Cowboys 11) A tribute song 12) Late Night Radio [Had I known that the campfire lasted only 20 more minutes I would have stayed. Mum and I were getting cold.] |
