Chapter Two: Their Story

Venus attended to the Turtles' shell injuries, which was nothing more than a few scrapes, a slight bruise, and some scratches.

"So, who are you two anyways?" asked Raphael.

"I'm Lavia Nieven." said the girl.

"And I'm Corina, but just call me Cori." said the Turtle.

"We're from another dimension. A dimension that used to be something, but now it's just a wasteland of sand and garbage." said Lavia, sounding somewhat bitter as she sat on the couch.

"A dimension? What's that?" asked Mikey, scratching his head a little.

"It's like another world, but they're all different from each other. No two are the same." said Cori.

"But why are you two here instead of your dimension?" asked Leonardo.

"It's a long story." said Cori.

           "We're listening." said Leonardo.

Lavia sighed. "All right, fine. It all started back home when everything was right, when everything was fine. Then this evil beast-like warlord named Tirus, who took over different dimensions, came to ours, and everything changed. He destroyed buildings, and killed any who tried to kill him." said Lavia.

"We all had to live in underground tunnels made secretly during the days of war. A lot of the people that lived above ground were killed, including the scientist that made the elixir that mutated me and my sister. So we all had to build a civilization underground, making whatever food we could out of the plants that we grew." said Cori.

"But one day, Cori, me, her sister, and couple of my friends came out of the underground area because we saw something shining off in the distance from one of the secret windows. We went to it, and saw some jewelry from a hole in a box. It was cool, and so we started opening the box to see if it was something worth taking back home with us to our families." said Lavia.

"We were all amazed by it, and thought that we were alone and safe to see it, but we weren't. Someone, I guess one of the beast warriors saw us, and told Tirus, who then came after all of us. Me and the others got away, but Lavia got caught." said Cori.

"Tirus kept me in his house, and told me to tell him where the families were. But I didn't tell him a thing. He had the beasts attack me a couple of times, and I really didn't know how to fight, so I got a lot of bruises. But I soon began learning how to fight them, and I found out about this medallion that the war lord wanted. He didn't know that I heard him, but he said that he's going to take over all dimensions with the power that it holds. So I managed to escape, with the knowledge of the medallion, back to the underground home. But when I got to the entrance, it wouldn't open when I used the special code. The door looked kinda burnt too, but I thought it was nothing. So I tried to use the back entrance, when I saw all of my friends sitting outside of it, crying." said Lavia, as she became somewhat sad.

"They gassed everyone and everything that was underground while we were gone. I guess someone suspected an underground colony had been made. If we hadn't ran to see the jewelry that day, we all would've died too." said Cori.

           "That's awful." said Venus.

"But it still does not explain why you are here." said Splinter.

"Well, all of us together, with the genius of our friend Max, and my sister, Rita, all repaired and rebuilt this huge structure that we found while we were young. It took a lot of work, but we started it up, and added some more things to it as well. We then made it our home base, and decided that somehow, someway, we're gonna stop the war lord once and for all." said Cori.

"We've been tracking him around different dimensions for about six years. We try to get to the buildings that Tirus uses before the light inside the building becomes red. We call this light a pulse. If the pulse turns red, and is allowed to explode outward, it will take over radio waves and things will get ugly quickly. That's what happened back home years ago." said Lavia.

"We destroy the buildings with these mechanical bombs that we got. But somehow, no matter what, Tirus and some of his goons always manage to escape alive. It's weird." said Cori.

"But anyway, now that they're here, you're in danger. They're planning to attack this dimension, kill everyone, gas the undergrounds, and completely conquer this world for their own. We have to stop them. We've traveled around stopped his plans from going into effect, and try to find out where the medallion is. We've already saved about 20 dimensions over the last six years, and we have to save yours." said Lavia.

           "Whoa, that's deep." said Mikey.

"Have you found the location of this medallion yet?" asked Venus.

"No, not at all. But we're not giving up, that's for sure." said Lavia.

Just then, a small beep was heard near Lavia, and picked up a small device from her belt.

"Who is it?" she asked as she talked into the device.

"It's Max. Listen, I suggest that you get the ships, and get back here quickly. Rita found something that she thinks you two need to know about." said the voice on the other side of the device.

"But we can't, Tirus and his army are here. He's going to attack this dimension." said Lavia.

"Well Rita's got a lock on the headquarters in that dimension. It's in midtown Manhattan, on I think, something called West 52nd Street." said the guy, Max. Then he was quiet for a moment. "Uh oh, the pulse has turned red, he's about to attack. Blow that baby up and hurry right back! This is important!" said Max.

"Okay okay, we're going." said Lavia, then she turned the device off.

"Time to go, eh?" asked Cori.
"Yep." said Lavia as she stood up and tied her hair up into a ponytail.

"All right then, let's do this." said Cori as she stood up.

"Hey wait, what are we supposed to do in the meantime?" asked Leonardo.

"Yeah, we can't just sit here knowing this stuff." said Mikey.

Lavia sighed. "Listen, it's not your fight. Besides, I don't really know if you guys can handle this stuff." she said.

"The heck it ain't our fight. Yeah it is! This affects us now. You told us, this dude is here, so we're in this now." said Raphael.

"What about him? It's too dangerous for him." said Cori gesturing towards Master Splinter.

"I will agree about that. This strange journey would be too much for me." said Splinter.

"But you can't just stay here by yourself Master. It's too dangerous." said Leonardo.

"Then I will go to my friend, Andre's house. He cannot see me, so he will not know what I am, only who I am; his friend." said Splinter.

"Only if you're sure that'll be safe." said Leonardo.

"I will be Leonardo, I will." said Splinter reassuringly, then he got up and looked back at everyone. "Be safe." he said.

        "We will." said Leonardo.

Splinter then left the room to go to Andre's house.

"So, 5 more sets of muscles on the team." said Cori.

"This has its advantages." said Lavia.   "Let's go."

They all left the sewers, and traveled down to Tirus' destruction headquarters.

"This is it." said Cori. She then took a medium-sized silver ball out of her belt pocket, and pressed a button on it. It began a countdown.

Lavia had a similar device that did the same thing.

They threw it into the building's windows.

"Run, now. Because when this baby blows, it blows." said Lavia.

They all began running, and just as they were running, the explosion happened. Tons of debris and armor flew at them, hitting, scratching, and bruising them. The hot flames made their backs and necks feel like they were on fire. The noise of the explosion hurt their ear drums, and shook the ground as if an earthquake was happening.

They all fell onto the ground across the street, and looked over at the huge mess.

Police cars and fire trucks soon arrived as a large black ship flew into the sky. A large, purple hole opened in the sky, and the black ship disappeared into it.

           "What was
that?" asked Donatello.

"Tirus and his army, the ones that survived that is." said Cori.

"They just disappeared off to another dimension. Come on, we have to get the ships, now!" said Lavia as she got up.
            Everyone else got up.

"Run fast, and follow closely, cos we've gotta find out where he's going." said Cori as she began running.

The group dashed around corners, jumped over high fences, and sped around sharp turns.

They all soon ended up in a part of New York that was absolutely deserted.

Lavia pressed a button on her watch, and two ships appeared. They were huge, aerodynamically shaped silver ships with rocket boosters at the back.

The Turtles looked amazed, all of this was so cool to them.

"All right, three of you, come with me. The other two, go with Cori." said Lavia as they went towards the ships.

Raphael and Donatello went with Cori. Leonardo, Mikey and Venus went with Lavia.

They all got into the ships, and they began starting up.

"Follow closely. I've got a lock on the vortex's location." said Lavia.

"I'll be right on your tail." said Cori.

The ships then started up. Their landing gear lifted up, and the ships lifted higher and higher.

"Hold on guys, these puppies go from speed 1 to 10. I'm about to hit speed 8." said Lavia.

"How fast is that?" asked Leonardo.

"That's your average 375 mph." said Lavia.

           "Whoa." said Venus.

"Wicked!" exclaimed Mikey, anticpating the fast ride.

"All right guys, this is gonna go fast, so hold on." said Cori.

          "How fast?" asked Donatello.

           "Very fast." said Cori.

"Bring it on." said Raphael with a smirk on his face. Fast machines were his kinda thing.

The ships then started out a bit slow, then suddenly went fast at speed 8.

They sped through the air with the greatest of smoothness and the highest of speed.

"Quick! The vortex is about to close!" said Lavia.

They sped through the purple hole in the sky with a bumpy entrance, but smoothly ran through.

The police and firemen looked astonished.
           "Did you see . . ."
"I don't know." said he police officer in reply to his partner.

The ships went through the vortex at a speed that the Turtles had never felt before. They were pinned to the backs of their seats.

The ride then became very rough as the ships jiggled around and shook.

"The portal is too unstable! I think Tirus is trying to make it fall apart. I'm opening the vortex to our home dimension now." said Lavia.

"All right, but do it quickly. The vortex is collapsing behind us!" said Cori.

Lavia then pressed a button on the console of her ship, and a new hole, this time in gold tones, opened in front of them.
The two ships entered it, and the ride was no longer bumpy.

"Whew." sighed Cori. "That was close.

"Too close, and I think that's how Tirus wanted it to be." said Lavia.

            "True dat." said Cori.

"Come on, let's just head home." said Lavia.
