Chapter Three: Meet HQ

The two ships flew over to a huge, black metallic structure that stood in a sandy, deserted area. They then flew to a large wall on the side of it.

"Identify yourselves." said a voice over the ships' communicators.

             "The lovely Lavia."

             "Too cool Cori."

"Ha ha, very funny you guys. Get in here." the male voice said with a slight chuckle.

The door to the hatch slid open upwards, and the two ships went inside, and landed.

Cori and Lavia turned off their ships, and then they all got out of them.

The Turtles then noticed about 6 other ships of the same kind.

"What are all these ships here for?" asked Leonardo.

"One ship for each of us, and 2 extras just in case a couple break down. We each have to have a good vehicle to escape by just in case this place is ever threatened." sid Cori.

"Come on. Max is probably getting more impatient by the second." said Lavia.

So they all went to a door far off in the corner, which opened as they approached it.

They all ended up in total darkness and the door closed behind them.

Soon, lights lit up to reveal them all to be standing in a big, clear structure, just big enough to hold all of them.

"Computer, Control Room Floor 7 please." said Lavia.

"Acknowledged." said a female computer voice.

The structure, which was actually an elevator, began moving upwards with smooth speed.

"Is everything around here fast?" asked Donatello.

"Most everything. Dealing with someone as evil and sly as Tirus, one has little time to wait for normal speeds." said Cori.

The elevator soon stopped, and the door opened.

They all stepped out, and saw a room full of controls on the walls, and on a panel that was sort of slanted forward.

A red-haired, pale-skinned young man in a white lab coat stepped away from one of the control panels.
"Hey girls, you're finally here, great! And I see you brought guests." said the young man.

"Yeah, these are some dudes, and dudette, that we found in the last dimension. They helped us out, we told them our story, and they want to help us out some more." said Lavia.

"Excellent, we could always use more help around here." said the young man. "Allow me to introduce myself everyone, my name is Maximillian Faxit, and I'm one of the resident technicians." said Max.

"Pleased to meet you." said Venus.

"The pleasure is all mine." said Max. "Come into the next room, you'll meet the rest of the crew, and then we can get down to business." he said.

They all followed him into the next room where there were a lot of computers, all doing different things, and running many different programs. There were also a considerable amount of printers, and some tall machine that no one knew what it was.

"Whoa, this place is totally high tech." said Donatello as he admired the equiptment.

"It has to be. We couldn't properly chart dimensions, or track Tirus without these things." said Max.

Inside the room, a female Turtle with large, black-framed glasses on, and a gray bandanna, was looking at something on the screen of a computer.

"Rita, come meet our guests." said Max.

The female Turtle looked up from her work, and then came over to the group. "Hello." said the soft-spoken Turtle.

       "Hi." said the Turtles.

"This is Rita. She does mostly tracking and charting work." said Max.

"From what I see and hear, she does a good job at it too." said Donatello.

         "Thank you." Rita smiled.

Also in the room was a girl who was sitting at a table, and seemed very occupied by the book she was reading.

"Over there is our good friend, Fay. She's excellent at decoding secret messages that Rita finds when trying to locate the medallion." said Max.

"Plus she's my best friend." said Lavia. "Hey Fay! Come here!"

Fay was a lite brown-skinned girl with long, brown/red hair. She was built similarly to Lavia, that is, built for fighting.
Fay looked up from her book, and looked a little suprised. "When did all of you get here?" she asked as she came over to the group.

"Just a little while ago." said Lavia. "But anyway, we brought these guys, and girl here from another dimension. We figured they'd be helpful."

"Oh, cool." said Fay. "Glad to meet y'all."

"Glad to meet you too." said Venus.

"So, what's the big news that you had us rushing back for?" asked Lavia.

Max's expression changed to something that could be described as an excited look, mixed with worry and suspicion. "Come to the 3rd computer." he said.

They all did so. The screen was large, at least 40 inches. There was a round form on the screen, along with several differently-colored blocks in the circle, all of them curved around the center, gray-colored block.

"What's this? A computer puzzle or something?" asked Mikey.

"Actually, this is the dimensional chart. All the differently-colored blocks represent the different dimensions. All of the ones that have an 'S' in the middle means that that particular dimension has been saved by us. The blue block there just gained an 'S', since the girls just saved your dimension," said Rita.

"What's the middle block, where all the others are centered around?" asked Donatello.

"Well that my friends, is the big news. That's the center dimension, the one that has the special pull." said Max.

"Yes, it's like all of the dimensions crowd around it in a strange magnetic-like pull." said Rita.

"And the biggest news of all, is that, that's where we will find the medallion." said Max.

Lavia and Cori looked at him in surprise.

"Yo, are you serious?" asked Cori.

       "Very." said Max.

       "That's great news!" said Lavia.

"But here comes the bad news." said Fay.

"Uh oh, what's that?" asked Cori.

"Tirus knows this too." said Max.

"How can you tell?" asked Lavia.

"Well, notice his attacks on the dimensions that we've saved. They form a pattern. This pattern has been encircling the center, as to form a barrier against intrusion. He tries to form the barrier closer and closer each time. See the pattern of the 'S'? It's always in that pattern." explained Rita.

        "Fascinating." said Donatello.

"If he knows that the medallion is there, why ain't he just goin' to the dimension place or whateva, and takin' it?" asked Raphael.

"Because he doesn't know exactly where in the dimension it is." said Rita.

"See, dimensions are huge. You know that. They're the world as you perceive it. It could be anywhere." said Max.

"And we have to get there first, before it's too late." said Rita.

"Good thing you all came. We'll need the extra physical power as we spend more time figuring out where the medallion is." said Max.

"That's for sure. We've been having a hard time fighting off the frequent attacks on the dimensions with just us as it is." said Fay.

"Very true. And the repairs that we've had to make on the ships have been debilitating our way to putting a stronger force out there to defeat his minions in the different dimensions." said Rita.

Max just shook his head and sighed. "Listen, Tirus is moving fast, and we don't have much time. Get these guys trained to use the travel ships, and we'll be prepared for whatever mission is coming up next. Tirus is resting is his home dimension right now, but he'll leave soon." said Max.

"All right, let's go guys and gal. You'll have to run through a quick lesson on the ships and how to use them." said Lavia.

"Everyone follow us to Fighter Piloting 101." said Fay.

So the crew continued onto their next task; learning about the ships from their teachers Cori, Fay, and Lavia.
