Our goal is to give your child an idea of how exciting and fun working with horses can be. Every day, as well as riding twice daily, there is a demonstration of proper horsemanship in one of varying fields. These demos include: lunging, braiding, body clipping, wrapping, anatomy of the horse, parts of the bridle and saddle, brushing and many others.
We also play games, do arts and crafts, and go for nature walks in Goddard Park (located directly next door). Your child should bring a bathing suit and towel for water games, older children are allowed to go to the beach under supervision. We also have an indoor ring for rainy day riding and activities.
Camp cost is $350. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required with the registration form. The deposit will be applied to your camp cost. After camp supervision is offered at $10 per hour if you are unable to pick your child up at the end of the camp day. Children should bring a bagged lunch (refrigerator available and we will provide beverages), bathing suit/towel, helmet (bicycle helmets are fine) and a change of clothes. It is advised that your child wears long pants for riding, but may bring shorts to change into while eating and doing crafts. If possible, riding boots are the safest footgear.
