ON THE OTHER HAND
I'm Being Gagged
By Antonio Abaya
Written April 18, 2008

Having archived my articles in www.tapatt.org since 2002, and having emailed them, on a regular basis, to a group of some 3,000, I am used to getting 100 to 150 emails everyday on my zpdee.net address.

Starting about April 14 last week, I started noticing a decline in the number of emails received. Yesterday, I received less than FIVE emails the whole day.

Not only do I receive practically no emails anymore, those who have been sending me emails report to me, on my gmail address, that all their emails to my zpdee.net address were bouncing back to them, allegedly refused by me..

Clearly, someone or some agency has been deliberately blocking my outgoing and incoming emails through my zpdee.net address.

I cannot even email my articles to my newspaper anymore and expect them to be received, as before. I have had to fax them, starting on April 16.

Not only that. Yesterday, April 17, when my webmaster tried to load new articles and reactions to those articles in
www.tapatt.org through the geocities website, as before, she could not get through.

And when anyone tries to access
www.tapatt.org, an error massage appears that This page cannot be displayed.

The only conclusion that I can draw is that I am being gagged.

Gagged by whom? I do not know for sure, but this is not the first time this has happened. Twice during the ZTE hearings, in July 2007 and later, my incoming and outgoing emails were blocked. Both incidents were traced to some intelligence sources in Malacanang who mistook me for another Tony Abaya. This case of mistaken identity was subsequently cleared and my normal email traffic resumed.

But this time, not only is my email on zpdee.net being stopped, even my website is being blocked, so that I cannot update it, and viewers cannot access it.

The implication here is: if they can do this to me. they can do it to YOU. *****
