Meet the People behind TAPATT Foundation Inc.


The
Foundation for Transparency and Public Accountability Today and Tomorrow, Inc. - also known as TAPATT Foundation Inc., or simply TAPATT - is a non-stock, non-profit, non-partisan NGO focused on demanding transparency and accountability in and from government. The people behind TAPATT are:

ANTONIO C. ABAYA founder and chairman / acting secretary
 
Born: March 11, 1936
Education: Bachelor of Arts-Journalism, Ateneo de Manila, 1956; Bachelor of Science-Chemistry, Northwestern University, 1959.
Formerly: columnist at the Philippine Star, the Manila Chronicle and Business World; TV co-host, Options at ABS-CBN-2, and TimesFour at RPN 9.
Presently: radio commentator, Station DWIZ. Author: Europe by Scooter, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Communism.

  
GUILLERMO N. CARAGUE

BALTAZAR N. ENDRIGA trustee and treasurer
 
Born: December 21, 1939
Education: Bachelor of Business Administration, magna cum laude, University of the East, 1960; graduate studies, Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Economics, 1964; Master of Business Administration, Harvard Business School, 1968, as a Johnson Foundation scholar and Peter Deuticke Fellow. Sixth in the board exams for CPA.
Formerly: president and CEO, Philippine Central Depository; president, Andersen Consulting Inc.; partner, Sycip, Gorres, Velayo and Co. (SGV); president, Institute of Advanced Computer Technology (I/Act); president, Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX); president, MANINDIGAN; president, Philippine Computer Society.
Presently: president, Cultural Center of the Philippines.

   
JOSEFINA T. LICHAUCO trustee

Born: November 17, 1932
Education: Bachelor of Laws, University of Santo Tomas, 1956.
Formerly: Assistant Attorney, Pelaez and Jalandoni Law Offices, Press Officer, Department of Foreign Affairs; United Nations grantee in the field of public information; Information Officer, United Nations Information Center, Manila; Public Relations Consultant; Fullbright-Hays grantee in the field of international public reactions; Chief Information Officer, Asian Development Bank; Lay delegate to the Second Plenary Council of the Philippines; press officer, Department of Foreign Affairs.
Presently: Founder and president, National Action for the Total Uplift and Restoration of the environment (NATURE); founder and president, Gunless Society. Member of the Bar.
