1.pre 2002 cars, add updated 2002 projector headlamps with Hella adapter wire(HINC PN 87223) Halogen updates to halogen, Xenon upgrades to BiXenon. Adding Xenon to Halogen without a leveling sensor or washing system will cause glare for other drivers.
2.BiXenon equipped cars in North America with North American headlamps, wire BiXenon function to stock halogen high for more high beam.
3.pre 2002 cars, add updated 2002 tail lamps.

1.replace 200mm retangle Sealed Beams with ECE spec H4 based lamps with relays
2.add Cabriolet fenders, rad support, headlamp buckets and ECE 7 inch round with relays

1.replace 7 inch round Sealed Beams with ECE spec H4 based lamps with relays

Golf II/Jetta II
1.replace 200mm retangle sealed beams with ECE spec H4 based lamps with relays

4.number 3 plus Hella quad girll kit with inner 5.75 inch driving lamps
5.replace rad support and grill and add Rallye Golf lamps w/ projector low beams and relays with the lows tied to the high beams. No high wattage bulbs in projectors!
6.number 5 with Hella Xenon projectors from any Hella 70mm Xenon projector. High beams must be tied to lows! BiXenon is not confirmed to fit yet. Disable DRLs.
7.add big bumpers and O.E. fog lamps, avail in clear, yellow, and smoked.
8.add headlamp washing with big bumpers
Golf III/Jetta III(Jetta will have to change front ends to do more than number 1)
1.replace headlamps with ECE Aero H4s with relays and leveling, euro rad support helps or fabrication needed to fit
2.replace headlamps with ECE Aero H1/H1 GTI lamps with relays and leveling, tie lows to highs, Jettas will need different grill/hood. Do same as 1 to fit.
3.replace headlamps with Hella projector quad lamps with H1/H1 bulbs and relays. Do the same as 1. Come in smoked or clear.
4.replace headlamps with Hella ECE Golf IV look headlamps with H7/H7 bulbs, leveling and relays. Do the same as 1 to fit. Come in smoked and clear.
5. add GTI fog lamps. Euro fogs need Euro bumper, Euro fogs come in smoked, yellow, clear. No performance difference between US and Euro fogs if same color. Wire to turn off with highs.
6. add Hella FF DRLs and clear turns to match number 4, euro bumper maybe needed.
7. add headlamp washers, euro bumper needed.
8. wire US side marker to flash with turn signal per Dan Stern's how-to.
9. add rear fog with ECE HL switch and tails lamps. Some rewiring needed.
Golf IV/Jetta IV(Jetta will have to change to Golf front end to do more than numbers 1-3,8)
1.replace headlamps with ECE lamps without fogs. plug and play, add relays and leveling. come in smoked(Hella Aftermarket), half smoked(25th A.E.), or clear.
2.on non turbo cars add Hella Micro DE fogs, wire to turn off with highs.
3 on turbo cars add number 1 with fog lamps, add relay for fogs to turn off with highs.

11.Hella ECE DRL kit for Golf with disabled DRLs because Xenon cannot run on reduced power with stock DRLs. For Diesels:plug lead into TFL pin on the back of the headlamp switch using a VW repair wire 000979133.
12.Add ambient lighting by replacing interior light with B5.5 W8 interior light(avail for both w/ or w/o moonroof) or for GLX with tech package pre '02, add 2002 and up interior mirror.
13.Add B5.5 W8 Aero wiper blades, need L and R arms and blades.
Notes:4-8 do not have fog lamps in the headlamp.
Passat B5
