If you're at St. Peters, walk south back towards St. Paul's, then make a right (west) on Liberty Street.
If you're at St. Paul's, exit across the street from the WTC, make a left (south) on Church Street, then a right (west) on Liberty Street.
You'll be walking along the southern border of the WTC site, take the elevator up to the South Bridge that crosses the West Side Highway to reach the World Financial Center 1. Walk through the stores northward to reach the Winter Garden Atrium, between WFC 2 and 3. (Map of complex.) |

Don't miss the Winter Garden Atrium, its vaulted walls soar up ten stories. A patterned marble floor surrounds a grove of 40-foot tall, full grown Washingtonia robusta palm trees. If you look out the giant wall of paned glass, you'll see the World Financial Center Plaza and the North Cove public marina and Manhattan Sailing Club.
Designed by Argentine architect Cesar Pelli (responsible for the entire WFC complex), completed in 1988, rebuilt 2002.
Besides being a great place to sit and people watch, the Winter Garden hosts exhibits, concerts and even screens movies during the Tribeca Film Festival.

And so the moment for dessert has arrived! Nestled in the corner of 3WFC, right next to the Winter Garden Atrium, you'll see Financier Patisserie. Choose your favorite pastry, get a nice cup of coffee (or espresso), then sit out at one of the tables on the WFC Plaza. |
