Head west on Wall Street to Broadway, you'll see Trinity Church right in front of you.

     This Episcopal parish received its charter in 1697 from King William III.  Richard Upjohn designed this third and current Gothic Revivial church, which was consecrated in 1846.  George Washington attended services here.
Alexander Hamilton is buried in the Trinity cemetery, the only active cemetery in Manhattan.
    The 2001 World Trade Center Attack toppled the almost century-old sycamore that once stood on the corner of St. Paul's property -- miraculously, since St. Paul's sat directly across the street from the WTC, the only damage the church sustained.  *NOTE* Steve Tobin used the roots of this tree as the base of his memorial bronze sculpture located next to Trinity Church.  (St. Paul's is a parish of Trinity Church)
Walk up Broadway about 6 blocks to Fulton Street.  St. Paul's Chapel lies between
Fulton and Vesey Streets.   Glance down at the sidewalk, see the embedded names and dates?  All 200 ticker-tape parades that have traveled down "The Canyon of Heroes," from 1886 to 2000, is commemorated here.
