Facing near death (age 04-05)
Chapter II
I forgot to mention in my first chapter that my mother has a blood of   a Subana. It is a term for lady Subanon. Subanon is one tribe that can be found in Mindanao. They usually live in the forest beside a river.
While I'm recovering from severe illness, my mother went to his father's house in Lampasan, Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur for some purpose. She in-trusted me to my grandmother named Pacencia Bodiongan and to my uncle named Leonardo Bodiongan Bendong, the youngest brother of my father, who also admired much to my mother. He was planning to court my mother when she gets back.
Months later, my mother came back and took me with her secretly from the custody of my grandmother and uncle. We leave away using the backdoor in our kitchen so that no body can noticed. I didn't know what was the reason behind. An hour later, when my uncle noticed why he heard nothing from the house like laughter, or any noise from me, he entered the house gracefully and was very upset when no body was there inside. He was so angry why my mother did it. He took his horse, rode it and followed us in the way. Noticing of a running horse approaching, my mother hid in a hagonoy grass (a local name) and went into another directions then seeks for help from a co-villagers. Finally we reached into his father's village.
One year later (I'm 5 years old), my mother married again to a man whose name is Florentino Pepito. I called him Daddy. Since I was just very young when my real father died, I forgot what had happened and thinking that the person whom I called Daddy was my real father.
One time, a cousin of my stepfather was kidding at me and scared me much. He took a knife and pointed it to me . I was so scared when I saw a knife. I cried so loud and begging for help. All of them just laughing and he continued to scare me. I kept on moving backward from our Sala to any direction and cried so loud but he still continued to scare and followed me. I was already cornered beneath our dirty kitchen and find no-where to go but he still continued to scare me. I was so afraid much more when he pointed his knife to me feeling that I may be killed, I cried so loud with my ultimate voice until I collapsed. Then one morning, I've got a severe fever. My mother did not notice that lymph nodes grew in my left neck due to much fear. She only noticed it when it grew bigger. She again applied a traditional visayan way of healing but unfortunately, it grew bigger and bigger until it grew as big as an American guava. Mother had informed my grandmother of my situation and my uncle Leonardo without fear visited us in our new village. Uncle Leonardo felt pity on my situation. He convinced my mother and stepfather to bring me to a Local Hospital, which is very far from our village.
At last, we have reached the local hospital and finally a Dr. Sundy, the local doctor in-charge, examined me. His finding was that, my life is fifty-fifty. I may survive but I may not. I may be poisoned by the nana from my neck. So the doctor refused to confine me further. My mother had no option except to bring me back home untouched by the doctor. At around 1:00pm after taking a lunch, my stepfather came closer and asked me if I felt pain in my neck. I said I felt nothing and suddenly, the one in my neck burst out and all liquid came out all the way so everybody were panic on what to do. A big hole can be seen in my left neck, they can even see my intestine inside me.
It's a great miracle after surviving from the near death situation. Thank you God for my second life. Thank you for saving me.
