Let's start with some basic information about who we are and how we got to where we are today.

Bride & Groom: Yvette Perez and Daniel Perez
How long together: We became a couple on 7 March, 1996, at Coconut Grove, Miami, so that makes it 6 years and counting.
Date of engagement: 30 January, 2001
Where & how it happened: Out on the balcony of our apt., and frankly it was out of the blue that, after having discussed the idea of us ever getting married, that I felt the urge... no, the need to ask her to marry me. So I did. At first she didn't quite believe me, but I assured her three times that I wasn't kidding and that this wasn't a joke, that I was very serious. She just said, "I know. Yes! Yes, I will marry you!"

What does she do? Yvette works as a Promotions Producer for Telemundo Network, Inc.
What does he do? Daniel is a recent graduate from Florida International University with a BA in English who also does some freelance writing on the side.
