HAVE IT YOUR WAY
==================================

Wm Haycook        SPOTLIGHT DEC 98

A lot of insurance topics have been covered during the three years I have been writing this column.  I have tried to write about subjects that I think will be of the most value to the greatest number of AACT members.

For your information, all previous columns are now available on our growing website<www.theatreinsurance.com> along with a title index summarizing each topic.

Future columns that first appear in Spotlight will also be added to our website.

Since the intent of these articles is to help you with theatre-related insurance issues, I urge you to check them out.  Think of them as your personal library that you can access anytime you need insurance information.

For example, you might consider accessing Cents & Common Sense, a three-part series first published in 1997, outlining very specific ways in which to make your theatre facility a safer place for your patrons and members. In fact, you might want to access this one each year to use as a guideline during your annual safety review.

Since our goal is to provide a library of useful insurance information available to all AACT members, I would like to solicit your suggestions regarding future columns.

You might want me to develop a particular aspect of a topic discussed in a previous column.  You might have specific subjects in mind or one of the following topics might be of value to you:  Business interruption insurance, Computer coverage, Employee dishonesty, Fine arts coverage, Systems breakdown coverage, Valuable papers, How to monitor a claim from accident to settlement, Specific safety issues, Non-owned auto coverage, Deductibles, Fire legal liability if you rent a facility, Negligence, Claims made vs Occurrence policies, Umbrella liability, How to insure your theatrical properties without having to schedule them item for item.

Reliable theatrical insurance information is available, upon request, to all AACT members whether you participate in the AACT-endorsed insurance program or not.

If this column helps your group deal with timely insurance issues, that's great.  If not, why not have it your way by letting me know what you need to know.
