1943.

• formed in Moldavia (Focsani ?) (Armed Forces Organization Law / 28.10.1943).

1944.

• 3.44: transferred from Moldavia (now part of the German Army Group South Ukraine's operational area) into the interior, to avoid overburdening the supply system.
• 23.8.44: deployed in Potcoava area, with 5278 militarymen.
• 24-29.8.44: some of its reporting units disarmed the German troops of Chitila, Otopeni, Băneasa and Mogosoaia (all this places are around Bucharest), assigned to the C.M.C. (the recruits detachement of Reg. 10 Inf.) and to the Motomechanized Troops Command (Reg. 27 Inf.).
• 30.8.44: all the recruits units were entrained in Chitila railwaystation and transported to Transylvania, to Dumbrăveni railwaystation.
• 5.9.44: deployed between Medias and Sighisoara, it took the first contact to the enemy on the line S of Bahnea forest - S of Zagăr.
• 6-9.9.44: during the German counterattack, it defended the positions of Ormenis (N of Dumrăveni).
• 9.9.44: it attacked at Idrifaia, then passed to the second echelon of Corp 6 A. Losses between 5-13.9.44: 1095 (182 deads, 835 wounded, 78 missing).
• 19.9.44: moved again to the first echelon on the Niraj river, between Ilieni and Leordeni.
• 29.9.44: it passed the Mures river, N of Crăiesti, fighting in the bridgehead.
• 30.9.44: it seized the villages Lis (?) and Sântioana de Mures (SW of Târgu Mures).
• 5.10.44: merged in Târgu Mures area with the remains of Div.6 Inf.
