BATALION PIONIERI MUNTE (Bat.Pi.Mte.).
The Mountain Sappers Battalions.
3 battalions formed 6.2.1922: one for Cdt.Tr.Munte (with 1 Cp.Trs, etc) and 2 for Div.1, 2 Munte
During wartime, 1939-1945, a Batalion Pionieri Munte was mobilised for each Mountain Brigade (1-4).
From 10.1944 they were reduced to Companii 38, 39 Pionieri.
