(no lunch break) Full day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (with half hour lunch break). Restaurants are nearby or you can "brown bag" it. Rates for additional hours are $10 hr for private and $10 for group. (Click here for a list of supplies needed) You will need to supply your own woodburner and pens. First piece of wood will be supplied...additional pieces of wood at students expense. (You may bring your own wood if desired.) Beginner classes Will learn basic techniques. You will learn how to use your woodburner and pens. Sanding & tracing patterns. Learn to burn on wood using three basic pens. Burn straight lines to curved lines and learn several ways to shade. A four hour class will get you started on a project. An eight hour class will give you one 5 x 7 project completed... or the knowledge to finish it at home. Intermediate / Advanced classes Learn how to improve your techniques. How to burn on surfaces other than wood... such as paper, gourds, or leather . (One class of instruction devoted to each different surface) The use of color and how to apply it. How to do portraits (you must be able to shade) Completion of projects will vary depending on time allowed. For projects not finished you may return another time at the hourly rate.
