Site II is  Galang capital where all the main Offices located. Within Site II, there are 5 zones where refugees live. There are also Administration areas where Camp Commander  and UNHCR  have their offices and staff premises to run the camp. 
Other N.G.O. establish their own facilities to help refugee with UNHCR funds. PMI (Indonesian Red Cross) open a 50 beds hospital, and provide mail services for refugees.  I.O.M, Save the Children, Ecoles San Frontiers ... also help refugees to learn and prepare for their resettlements...

Wooden barrack in Site II during the 70s-80s, which used to be a transit camp for refugees who were waiting to depart for the US. This type of housing is the best in the Camp comparing to others.

the same areas during the 90s. The kitchen, eating spaces on ground floor  were converted to living areas to accomodate more people .

these barracks were once abandoned during the mid 80s, .By the late 80s and early 90s they were harshly repaired to meet the increasingly housing demand by the new wave of refugees

I did this poster, which was placed right  in front of UN staff  house, for UN Tech. Office. As you can see in the photo, the poster was to commemorate UNHCR 40 anniversary. In the background is the building where UN staff was living
