Safe Haven For Teens

Safe Haven for Teens is a organization that focuses at this time on providing teens with a safe place to hang before school, where they get a free breakfast and a place to talk. In the summer we will be moving into providing a afternoon place for the teens to hang where they can do art, skate board, music and hang out.

Dancing Grace

Hi, I am Elizabeth Grace Lueking and I am a member of Vineyard Central Church and am active in the Tilden House Church. I have been actively attending Vineyard Central for about six years and it is a place that I have regarded as my home and my refuge. I am very grateful for the body of believers I have found in this church who have loved and encouraged me even in my most difficult moments. I am the most grateful for a relationship that I have with the Lord Jesus Christ who faithfully and continually loved me. He is the only reason why I am where I am at today and He is the only one who is able to totally set this captive free.

I graduated from college back in the early 80’s, at that time in my life I was in love with the Lord and desired very much to be able to go into the ministry and work with troubled teens. I wanted more than anything to be able to further my education by attending seminary, however, at that time my goal was not reached because I was haunted by a troubled past and found myself for the next fifteen plus years in and out of institutions and drunk tanks.

The exciting thing about having a relationship with Jesus Christ is that He is never finished with you he is patient and gentle. Even though I spent most of my time in those fifteen years try to run away from God I continued to find him right there beside me. I am constantly amazed at how I at the age of forty could find myself a chronic alcoholic, who was finally sober for only a few years beginning to attend seminary, but it was the beginning of the most exciting adventure of my life. As my relationship with him began to flourish and grow I felt him nudging me to begin going back to school, at first I thought the idea to be totally insane but I knew after all the years of running to trust his infinite wisdom.

I love the opportunity I have in attending seminary. I have been able to learn and grow in many areas of my Christian walk. More importantly I have also discovered many gifts and abilities that I have, that I never knew existed. One of those being the ability to write, I found that not only was I able to write well, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I feel as an outlet for writing, while still in school, I have it helpful for to write articles for my home church web site. Some of my friends and leaders at Vineyard Central encouraged me to venture out and develop my own web site that could be linked to theirs but I would be able to organize and develop a web site that is uniquely mine. So welcome, browse all you want. I would enjoy your comments and incites so feel free to email me. Also I am open to any questions or writing suggestions. Thank you for visiting me.
