Dance Floor Magic is a webzine focussed on independent music that makes me want to dance. I have been doing webzines since the late 90's and currently run The Setup, which features D.I.Y. hardcore with a strong Florida edge. In early March 2003 I decided to start a new project featuring all the bands and people that do not fit directly into the hardcore scene, yet are still really awesome.

Help
I would really love for other kids to become involved with this site and make it a shared project. Writers, reviewers, editors, artists, photographers, etc. We need help on basically everything imaginable.
Bands/Labels/Zines
Send review material in on any format to the address below and I promise it will be reviewed ASAP, though a cassette will take longer to get reviewed. Our reviews focus more on explaining the music/art than judging it, so don't be scared. Bands/Labels: please include artwork - it is a very important part of a release.
Mixtape
The Mixtape section of the site is a recurring feature that will be updated either bi-monthly or for each issue. It is a collection of downloadable songs found throughout the internet. None of the songs are hosted by Dance Floor Magic.
We would like other people to submit Mixtape collections. Please make sure the group of songs comes to atleast 60 minutes and make sure you include a hyperlink to the mp3, a relative link (band site, label, etc) and a short description and/or reason for choosing that song.
Bands/Labels, if you would like to submit mp3's for consideration, please send us your hyperlinks. Please do not send us mp3.com pages, sound clips or encoded/protected files. We only want full songs on a non commercial mp3 site (meaning nothing on mp3.com, epitonic, etc) that can be burned to a CDR.
Links/Banners/Ads
We are more than happy to trade links and/or banners with rad kids, so please get in touch. Our banner(s) can be found below and on the links page. We don't pay for this site so we do not really accept paid advertising (unless you really like us). We are willing to trade banner ads for review material, if you'd like to do that.
Disclaimers
Most of the artwork on here was taken from other locations, be it websites, records, zines, etc. I am a horrible artist, so i tend to take the easy way out (any artists that wanna help, see above). If your artwork is featured on this site and that makes you angry, please get in touch and it will be taken off immediately. If you just want credit given, let me know and that will be done immediately as well.
This webpage is anti-copyright, so please use anything you want, but if you take writing (i.e. an essay, interview, etc) simply give us credit and a link (if it's on the web).
