| History
of MENORCA...
I never even knew that
the island of Menorca existed until I started to research
the ESCANAVERINO surname.
This island has
more ancient remains than any other Mediterranean island -
burial mounds, villages, places of worship, strange T-shaped
rock constructions reminiscent of Stonehenge. The
earliest remains are from post Pleistocene age 3000B.C., so
there is definitely a vast history there. View
the timeline I have created! It
is situated in the Balearic Islands
off the Eastern coast of Spain. Their tourism industry is huge. Let
me know if you know of a good link or book about the island,
and I'll include it! |

Facts and other stuff:
Menorca was nicknamed prehistorical
open-air museum because there have been some 500
prehistoric findings on the island alone.
