Super DaWally Spinner parts

The Super DaWally Spinner - Parts

The Super DaWally Spinner is made of quality parts. The line is 15lbs test and is snelled on the hook with a surgeon's knot at the loop. The carolina rig is approx. 18" long.

On the line there are 4 plastic beads 2- silver beads before the nickle 9/16" propeller and 1- brass and 1- dark color bead just before the eye of the hook.

The hook is an Eagle Claw bait holder #6 or #8. The barbs on the shank help hold the worm on the hook.

We provide three- 1" worms that are usually one green and yellow, one yellow, and one white. They are split from the middle to the end for good movement.

The Super DaWally Spinner - Assembly

Super Dawally Spinner

To assemble the Super DaWally Spinner you first decide which color worm you want on the hook. Start the worm on to the hook from the non split end so this end is up by the eye of the hook and the split is out over the turn of the hook.

There are two ways to use this lure. The first is in deep water, use a weight (1/8oz. recommended) at the loop. For shallow water use a weighted bobber or float.

Recomendation on use - cast into a shadow and reel into the light and be ready!

Weights

Dipsey Sinker

We recommend the 1/8oz. Dipsey Sinker with the DaWally lures since they don't get caught in the grass of the ponds and lakes.

They are also cost reasonable and are sold everywhere.

Floats & Bobbers

Betts Floats & Bobbers

We recommend the 1-1/4" round weighted bobber for use with the Super DaWally Spinner in shallow water.

If fishing for crappie we use the torpedo weighted float which has less pull when the fish bite.

Hooks

Eagle Claw (Bait Holders) Hooks

We use the #6 Eagle Claw bait holder since the size is good for all fish and the barbs on the shank help hold the worm on the hook.

If you are fishing and just geting hits, we recommend the #8 as it is a little smaller.

Blades

Indiana Blades

We use the Indiana blade with the Super DaWally Blade because it has a lot of flash.

We use a #2 blade with the #6 hook and a #1 blade with the #8 hook.

The blades are on the line just before the beads. The blade is on the line with a clevis for more action.

Worms

Big Bite Baits Trout worms

We use the 3 inch worm and cut them into 1 inch worms and split them 1/2 length ways.

With both the Super DaWally Spinner and the Super DaWally Blade we provide 3 worms(1- green/yellow, 1- Yellow, 1- white).

Every pond, lake, and stream differs with what color to use but we have caught a variety of pan fish.

Tubes

Tubes

The tubes are good for crappie. Although we started using the tubes first and had good success but moved to worms later.

Chartruese works the best for all pan fish but, exceptionally well for crappie.

Line

Line

We prefer Cabela's PRO LINE for our lures and line on the reels. We make the lures with PRO LINE clear blue 15lb test.

For our 4'8" UGLY STIK we use PRO LINE 6lb test. On the Bass Pro Shops PRO QUALIFIER, I prefer the 10lb test.

Rods

Rods

We prefer the 4'8" UGLY STIK for walking along streams and in the canoe. This little rod has a lot of action. You get a lot of whip to it for casting.

The rod lives up to it's name when the fish are on The largest has been a 6+ pound largemouth bass. This fish swam everywhere around a stump, tried to go under the canoe, and even tried to get caught up in my line.

We both have the Shakespeare telescopic rod with the Pro-Am 125 reel on it. This makes a great travel set or carry around backup set.

Reels

Reels

Wally likes his Diawa 500T spinning reel (5.1:1 ratio with 5 bearings) on his UGLY STIK.

I like the Shakespeare Catera 6625 (5.2:1 ratio with 6 bearings) on my UGLY STIK

We both have as a backup reel the Shakespeare Pro-Am 125 (4.8:1 ratio).

Combos

combos

We like buying combos they offer quality equipment for the price.

This is how we got our UGLY STIK rods and Pro-Am reels.

We also have the Bass Pro Shops Proqualifier which has an IM8 Rod and PQX1500 reel with 10 bearings.

We both have the Shakespeare Telescopic set which makes a great travel set.
