Welcome to Paradise... continued

WELCOME!

When we arrived, we were understandably exausted. It took us 26 hours from the time we pulled out of the driveway in Binghamton, NY Until we were able to put our heads on the pillows of our bed at the Beachcomber. Dont let the travel time scare you. We were delayed in Chicago due to an accident on the tarmac involving a fuel truck and a baggage truck.  We were also delayed in LA (thankfully) and Papeete because of the French Air Traffic Controllers strike. We flew AOM French airlines from LAX to Papeete, and the plane was delayed coming our of Paris.

Nancy and I decided to nap when we got there. Throughout our nap Nancy insisted that she heard knocking on the door. She would wake me to answer the door and, being the obediant husband that I am I answered it.. only to find that there was nobody there. It wasn't until I got up from my nap that I realized what was going on. Evidentally the "Welcome Fairies" were the ones at the door. They were in and out without a sound and left us the gifts you see above.

Bungalow

Here you see Dan relaxing on the porch of the bungalow with his swollen feet elevated. (feet were swollen from being in the air so long... it's normal for air travellers to suffer from swollen feet) You will see that the bungalow is nestled into a garden setting with the nearest neighbor about 15 feet away on the other side of dense tropical plants. Like I said.. PRIVACY.
