Zane Black Erased from Continuity

9-20-2002 -- Zane Black, a.k.a. Julian St. Croix, is apparently the latest
victim of the Anti-Monitor's quest to reboot our universe.

"I honestly don't know where he is," said the Traveller, who was extremely
distraught. "I tried everything, and I couldn't get a hold of him.

"I've been thinking about him all week, and now, when I try to call, he's
gone. I feel like it's all my fault, whatever it is that's happened."

Theories abound as to the cause of Mr. Black's disappearance -- ranging from
him being captured by Agent Smith to him touring with the newly-reunited
Steel Dragon band.

"Who knows?" continued the Traveller, "maybe he finally achieved his dream,
and he's playing keyboards somewhere in Vegas. I sure hope so. I sure hope
.... the anti-matter cloud didn't get him."

Authorities in Orlando are blaming the Anti-monitor.

What is the Anti-Monitor up to this time?

 

"Anyone who read 'Crisis' knows what's going on here," said an anonymous
Orange County Deputy. "First, there's a white cloud, and then your dead.

"We know what's going on. Someone's rebooting the continuity. Hopefully
I'll live to see the new storyline."

The Anti-monitor, believed to have died in Crisis issue #12, has yet to be
questioned by authorities regarding Zane's disappearance.

The city of Orlando will never be the same.

The disappearance of Zane has left a gaping hole in the community of Winter
Park, where his kingdom was headquartered.

"He was the king of Orange County, man!" said one of Zane's followers.
"Without him, Winter Park sucks! I don't think I'll ever eat sushi with
Wasabi piled on top ever again -- nobody could handle a Wasabi rush like
Zane Black."
