A Dailyskew investigative report:

Real-life Super-villain Team-up

The Traveler -Investigative Reporter

It's 1991. The T.V. media declares "the end of history" as we know it. And Terry Nichols sits back in his easy chair, and smiles. Experts are now saying this scenario, or something similar, may have been the spark which led to the escalation of terror in our nation.

"There's no doubt about it," said Dr. D. Hoffman, Head Psychiatrist at Bellevue, "the malcontents in our society saw an opportunity to make history.... They [the super-villains] wanted attention from a news-starved media, and they got it ... although it did take awhile for the media to take them seriously."

Case in point: the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. In a poll conducted by DailySkew.com, an astounding 82% of Americans could not name the perpetrators of the 1st WTC terror attack. In the same poll, 99% of Americans were able to identify Mohammed Atta, Osama bin Laden, and Timothy McVeigh as known terrorists.

"They knew they weren't getting there message across," continued Dr. Hoffman, "so they planned bigger and scarier events. They knew the only way to terrorize America was through their media."

And, as reported in The Observer on October 28, 2001, in an article by Ed Vulliamy, we discover, "... Aryan Nations Neo-Nazi websites, including the largest umbrella organisation, the National Alliance, show support for Al-Qaeda."

Also, in "Hooded Justice", Timothy McVeigh's lawyers speculate about a possible link between Mr. McVeigh's accomplice Terry Nichols and Ramzi Yousef, the mastermind behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, who also has been tied to Mr. bin Laden. Mr. Nichols married a woman from the Philippines and visited that country, a hotbed for Islamic fundamentalists, six times before 1995.

According to McVeigh's lawyers, one witness reported a meeting between an American whose description matched Nichols and Mr. Yousef. Bin Laden also was said to be in the Philippines around that time." (Liz Marlantes, Christian Science Monitor, November 05, 2001)

"Obviously, these groups have been coordinating for sometime now, at least 7 years," stated an anonymous source within the FBI. "We were lulled into believing these were idiot extremists ... now we know better."

All this raises the question -- is the media to blame? Our Dailyskew.com poll shows that Americans say "yes". An overwhelming 77% percent of respondents blamed the news media for the escalation of terrorism in our country, with the other 23% divided between Bill Clinton (11%), George Bush Sr. (8%), and Bob Dole (4%). "I'm not sure why people are blaming Bob Dole, but ... we know the news media has compromised our abilities to think objectively in this country," a Justice Department official stated.
