Anthrax letter sent to "kingdom come" cal

"Kingdom Come" Cal

Cal Ripken Jr., who some call the greatest shortstop to have ever lived and
1991 A.L. MVP , today revealed that he is the
latest victim of the recent Anthrax mailings.

In a statement released Sunday, Cal let it be known that "I do not find this
amusing.  Whoever sent this is Unamerican, and unfunny."

The FBI believe the letter sent to Cal comes from the same source as the other Anthrax
letters, which have plagued the Northeast since the end of September.

"There's no doubt about it," stated Special Agent Smith.  "Same modus
operandi.  Same handwriting.  Same Anthrax.  Same everything.  It's the same
source."

Unfortunately, the FBI and other investigating agencies around the country
have yet to discover who the culprit, or culprits, are.

A unique twist to the "Kingdom Come Cal Ripken" letter is the words written to the future
Hall of Famer and former Rookie of the Year -- very disturbing words.  Quoting from the
letter, it states,

"This is next. After Kansas and Lois Lane are eliminated, all existing Cal Ripkens from the multiverse shall be destroyed.  Are you scared?  Coke is not it.  Down
with Cal.  Down with America.  Allah is Great."

"Apparently, the guy who wrote this letter didn't like Cal's Coke
commercial, and read the DC Comics Limited Series Kingdom Come" an unnamed source in the state department said.

"We understand the commercial was a little repetitive," responded a
spokesperson from Coca Cola to allegations that Cal's retirement Coke ad had
spurned another wave of terrorist attacks, "but that doesn't mean we're at
fault here.  People love Cal, and he helps us sell product.  We've teamed
with Cal for a long time now, and this is not going to stop us."

Cal Ripken Jr. also stated that he would not break his relationship with
Coca Cola because of the apparent motivation for the Anthrax attack.  "I
will help keep America rolling by pitching my favorite American soft drink:
Coca Cola!"
