James Smith, the Earth-2 Damian, Resigns From Tashman Technologies

... and the Tashman Universe will never be the same.

FEB.25 - James Smith, also known as the 'Earth-2 Damian' because of his bald head and belief systems, turned in his letter of resignation at Tashman Technologies today.
Mr. Smith had been employed by Tashman for approximately 6 months before resigning.
Although the Earth-2 Damian would not comment to the DailySkew, sources who read the resignation e-mail noted that James was tired of the instability of Tashman's work flow. It is well known that James has a daughter to support, and he wanted security- something that Tashman does not offer.
James Smith, a level one teleportation operator, rose to the ranks at Tashman Technologies very quickly. In fact, it had been rumored that James would become the 1st shift lead teleportation operator.
After a brief stint on third shift, James became one of the best operators in the entire company. Known for his lively conversations, martial art skills, hip attire, and passion for tea, Mr. Smith was the last remaining operator from the Second Crop of Trainees that Damian Hospital trained months ago. Guyan Coombs, the Earth-0 Arnold Roberts, resigned last week.

James Smith Rescinds Resignation; Has "Change of Heart"

The resemblance is striking, isn't it?

FEB. 26 - In a decision that brought jubilation to Tashman Technologies coworkers and management, James Smith has rescinded his resignation today.

Ministry of Truth sources obtained an interoffice e-mail that described two factors leading to Mr. Smith's decision: 1) James has heard, "whether truth or rumor that Cliff might possibly be interested in steering" him toward programming; and 2) he has a job lined up in 3-4 months, so "should things at Tashman not pan out, this will most assuredly be where I am."

These are the "two events yesterday" which have "caused a change of heart", he wrote.

With James remaining at Tashman for now, 1st shift appears to be in much better shape, according to inside sources who requested anonymity.

"Management knew 1st shift would be dead without the Earth-2 Damian," the source revealed, "I heard they gave him an offer he couldn't refuse."

Is it James ... or is it Memorex?
