The Loyalist Triumphant
Daily Balance News
October 4, 2002 -- The Loyalist never thought he would consider being a manager again.
"It was out of the question," said he, after finishing his shift at GoodKarma, "but I realize now it's a natural fit."
The Loyalist has officially returned to managing, taking an assistant-to-the-assistant manager position with GoodKarma, a non-profit
organization.
"It feels good to be here. I feel like I've found my niche ... at least for now.
"I mean, I still have to finish my degree -- that's why I'm switching to management; it's 30 less credits. Accounting just isn't realistic -- I
don't have the practical work experience, and I simply don't have the time to do it, not with my new responsibilities in my life. I have to stick with
what I know, and develop that."
The Loyalist has changed his major for the tenth time in the past year. He claims that the changes are not signs of his instability, but his honesty
with himself.
"Look, if something's not going to work, I change it. Period.... I do stick some things. For example, I'm still a Star Wars fan, and a vegetarian."
When asked about the new responsibilities he faces, the Loyalist refused to comment, except to say, "She knows. She knows."
