Do you really trust this former Texas Ranger Base-Ball Club owner?
Hi fellow Skewers,
First of all, thanks for checking out the page. As you know, we're try to update as much as we can, so keep on coming back. This page will be launching tony and my book projects next year. But I want to spend my time talking about all of this post-September 11th stuff really concerns each and every one of you.
A democratic society can not win a "war on terrorism". George Bush passed a $40 billion package to prevent another "9-11". John Ashcroft, the head of the Justice Department, has full and free reign to question literally anyone he wants, and "indefinitely detain" anybody- including you! The Powers That Be- the middle-aged white men (and Collin Powell) who call the shots on foreign and domestic policies- are slowly taking our civil liberties away from us. Soon, the mail we send will no longer be private. E-mail will be searched. Our homes searched and books seized. Our places of religious worship will be invaded by agents. Telephone conversations tapped. Freedom of speech, religion, press- all will be obstructed by our current administration.
Look at the state of Israel. They live in a constant battle against terrorism. The military roam the war-torn streets. Palestinian "freedom fighters" bomb stores and malls all the time. Israelite soldiers kill anyone who looks suspicious. There is no due process. No defense attorneys. No Constitution. It is a war over land, freedom, religion, and beliefs. It is a war that, sadly, will never end.
The US is headed toward a totalitarian government, similar to Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union. You may not see it, but I do. If you still believe everything the media and government tells you on TV, newspaper, or radio, I doubt you're reading this web page. We, at the Dailyskew.com, care about our liberties, and we care about the safety of people. We believe that there can be a balance made. Only through the true peacekeeping skills of world leaders could "the war on terrorism" ever end.
