Will he outsell Phantom Menace? 
 
 
Viacom today announced a deal with the U.S. Federal Government to have an 
Osama compilation DVD in all Blockbuster stores, just in time for the 
Christmas Holidays. 
 
"We felt it was an appropriate Christmas gift to our loyal customers and all 
Americans," stated Viacom President Mel Karmazin at a press conference 
Friday.  "People have a right to know what this guy [Osama bin Laden] said, 
and to break it down, frame by excruciating frame." 
 
The U.S. Department of Justice is very happy with the deal.  "We wanted to 
get the evidence out there ... and now we're doing it," stated an unnamed 
source. 
 
The DVD will include: the original Al-Jazeera broadcast with Osama and his 
henchman, the November 9th dinner video, and various clips and footage of 
bin Laden collected over the years.   
 
"There are childhood photos, birthday parties, him [Osama] shaking hands 
with Terry Nichols in the Philippines ... it's just packed with exciting 
footage!" stated a jubilant Blockbuster executive, who chose anonymity for 
this report. "With Christmas coming, this will give us a great boost to 
finish the year strong, economically!  Thank God for this deal!"


 
 
 Blockbuster sales figures should be skyrocketing this 
Christmas. 
 
 
"You'll have translations from the Federal Government, from Al-Jazeera ... 
and experts discussing the accuracy of each translation.  You'll have film 
experts explaining the authenticity of each piece of footage.  We even got 
an interview with Mohammed Atta's father!" stated the Viacom president. 
 
Members of the Tale ban or Al-Quad network could not be reached at this time 
concerning possible copyright and trademark infringement, due to the war in 
Afghanistan. 
 
"That would never hold up in court.  Never," the Blockbuster executive added 
. 
 
The Osama DVD will be available at all Blockbuster outlets, nationwide, on 
December 21st.
