Best Movie Ever?

The new Star Wars movie kept my interest from beginning to end. I was dazzled by the flawless special effects, but I was more impressed with the level of emotion conveyed by young Skywalker.

The purpose of any movie is to stir the emotions of the audience. It could be that my level of empathy is different than most people. It could be that I’m a big Star Wars fan. But the bottom line is seeing The-Man-That-They-Will-Call-Vader struggle with his anger, love, attachment, passion, and duty made the movie great.

There were many grand scenes -- too many to list, as a matter of fact.

The movie had everything in it to succeed in the box-office: romance, action, special effects, and a few solid acting performances by Ewan McGregor, Christopher Lee, and Ian McDiarmid.

The negatives of the film hardly are worth mentioning -- heavy-handed melodramatic dialogue, some ridiculous Jedi tricks, and some of the light saber scenes were too short.

Keep in mind that at the time, critics did not give positive reviews to the previous Star Wars movies.

Everyone who saw the movie with me loved it. For one woman, this was the first Star Wars movie she had ever seen. Well, now she’s hooked and wants to see all of the others.

I don’t want to waste your time anymore than I did. Just see the movie and enjoy.
