Argentina names Juan Arasa Next President El General di Machismo, working on his acceptance speech.
In a stunning move, the Argentinean council, resorting to pulling names out of a bag, chose Venezuelan-born Juan Arasa as their next president. "He's a good choice," said an anonymous source within the Argentinean Parliament. "He's American, and he's not here." El General di Machismo, as he's called in Caracas, is a well-known South American advertiser, and a former 3rd shift supervisor for Tashman Technologies.
Juan and his team of experts plan on cleaning up Argentine corruption.
"Personally, I think he's a great choice," stated an unnamed Tashman fiche operator. "It'll get him the heck out of here." Others within the Tashman organization expressed concern. "We need him here," stated an upper management official, "scanning cards. What good is he, production-wise, if he's leading Argentina?! "And who's going to cover the weekends?" The U.S. government and IMF have refused to comment on the controversial announcement at this time. Juan's term of office will run until January 2003, when public elections will be held for a new president. The council has promised Juan that he will not have to serve as president after January, 2003. |
