WELCOME

Welcome to the Westerville Jaycee Swim Team!! In 1998, the Pool Cats are planning another great year and we are glad that you are planning to be a part of the excitement.

This handbook has been prepared to give you and your family a lot of information that you will need to know throughout the season. Please read it carefully, especially if you are a new member of the Westerville Jaycee team. Returning members and parents will want to look it over carefully as well. You will find information about the coaches and practice sessions as well as the procedure for letting the team know whether or not your child will be swimming in the meets. Please review the Meet Procedure section found in this handbook. This is the most important activity of the team and we need everyone to help to make the swim meets run smoothly. Thank you in advance for all your help and participation...the team can not work without you. If you have any questions, ask a member of the Board of Directors.

Our goal is to have a safe summer of development, competition, recognition and fun for all of our swimmers and their families.

{How did Westerville Jaycee Swim Team get started}. We are a part of the Greater Columbus Swimming League (GCSL) which organizes the summer swim program for our teams in Columbus, Ohio. Our League consists of the Westerville Jaycee Swimming Pool, the Highlands Park Swim Club, the Northland Community Center, the Gahanna Swim & Racquet Club, the Hilliard Municipal Pool West, the Olympic Swim & Racquet Club, the Delaware Aquatic Racing Team, and the Northwest Swim Club.

We are excited to have you and your family as members of the WJC swim team and we look forward to another exciting swim season.
