REGISTRATION

Eligibility

Swimmers are eligible to join the team if they are 18 years of age or younger as of July 22,1998.

A successful swimmer must be able to swim at least the length of the pool (25 meters) without holding on to the sides of the pool or touching the bottom.

Ages 8 & Under - Must be able to swim as above for 25 meters.

Ages 9 & Up - Must be able to swim as above for 50 meters. They should be able to swim more than one stroke.

If you are unsure about your child's ability, attend the practices as scheduled. Coaches will determine each swimmer's ability and decide if a swimmer meets the above requirements. If a swimmer is unable to meet the requirements, a full refund will be made (see Refunds below).

Registration Fees

All swimmers must be members of the Westerville Jaycee Pool. Fees for Pool memberships are as follows:

• Family :� $160.00

• Family of 2 :� $130.00

• Individual :� $80.00

The fees to join the team are $30.00 per swimmer.
Additional costs can include a team swim suit, team tee shirt, and goggles.

A parent must complete the registration form, sign a release, and pay the registration fee before a swimmer may attend practices or meets. No Swimmer will be allowed to compete in a swim meet without a paid registration. For a swimmer to compete for the full summer season the registration must be paid by June 8,1998.

All Parents are expected to volunteer for at least one swim meet during the season. Because your help is needed so much, please look at the volunteer activities and sign-up as soon as possible.

Late Registration

Swimmers may register late, even after the regular season meets have begun. However, they must register by the Friday preceding a Wednesday meet to be eligible to compete in the meet. To qualify for the GCSL Championships, in at least two regular season meets.

Refunds

Full refund will be given ONLY if the team and the parent agree to withdraw the swimmer because of his/her inability to swim before the regulation swim meets begin.

Partial refunds will be given as follows:

• Withdrawal requested before the first swim meet will be for the full fee less a $10 administrative charge for each swimmer.

• Withdrawal requested after the first swim meet will be for the full fee less a $15 administrative charge for each swimmer.
