120 John George TABLER, b. 11 Apr 1749, bpt. 16 Apr 1749 , d. 11 Jun 1751, age 78y 3m 28d,  s/o Melchoir and Catherine Elizabeth (DORN) TABLER, d. 9 Oct 1827, ahighly respected farmer of this county, at his residence on the Opekan (Creek), Berkeley Co., VA, m. 15 Oct 1771, Frederick Co, MD, (121) Anna Catherine CRONE (KRONIN), b. 15 Dec 1752, d/o Johann Conrad and Anna Margaret (SINN) CRONE, d. 30 Jan 1825, age 73y 1m 15d, Berkeley Co. there marriage was proclaimed on Oct 6th., 9th., and 12th., 1771. Some genealogist have stated incorrectly that John George TABLER m. a Catherine Easterday. (See proof of  TABLER CRONE marriage). George supplied wheat, entitled to paid by Treasury of  State of Virginia $290 an act fro procuring a supply of provisions and other necessaries for the army on 20 Mar 1781. George TABLER received 271 acres on Julep Bend of the Opequon Creek in 1771 from his father Melchoir TABLER. He expanded the plantation to 1000 acres. He built a 10 room native limestone house in 4 sections. The first in 1780. In 1782-1787 he paid tax on 1 pole 1 slave in Berkeley Co., VA. After, his death, 2 more additions were added by his son Christian TABLER and in 1830, a wing was added to the north side. After the Civil War the final wing as added. A grist and saw mill operated by George TABLER in 1800. The mill operated until 1910 when the railroad purchased the mill and right-of-way. More information and a picture can be found in the architectural history of Berkeley  Co. On 20 Mar 1781, he received payment for supplying the troops during the Revolution. In 1800 he was assessed for 2 black slaves under 17, 7 horses, and 12 cattle. In the 1810 there was 1 male 16-26, 1 male 45 and up, 1 female 45 and up and 6 slaves. In 1820 1 male 45 and up, 1 females 26 to 45, 1 female 45 and up, 2 males slaves under 14, 3 males slaves 45 and up, 7 female slaves 0-14, 1 female slave 14-26, 3 female salves 45 and up, 1 free black male 14-26, and 1 free black female 14-26. At the time of his death he possessed the 1000 acres of land and 18 slaves. He is buried on the hill above the house in a cemetery that belongs to all heirs of George TABLER. 120.3 Mary Ann TABLER, b. 14 Aug 1779, d. 20 Nov 1858, Fairfield Co., OH, is probably "Polly" RUTHERFORD named in her father's will, married 20 Jul 1801, Berkeley Co., VA, Archibald RUTHERFORD, b. 24 Dec 1775, Frederick Co., VA, d. 6 Jan 1848, Fairfield Co., OH, moved to Fairfield Co., OH. They are buried in Rutherford Cem., Fairfield Co. (FH31, WVBE1) Children:

Reebenach, Elizabeth MILLER, b. 23 Mar 1794, d. 2 Feb 1874, age 79y 10m.  The suretor for the marriage was George TABLER. Christian lived on the home plantation. In 1820 he had 1 male under 20, 1 male 26 to45, 1 female 26-45, 1 in manufacturing, 1 male slave under 14, 1 male salve 45 and up. In 1850 and 1860 he was farming in Berkeley Co. In 1850 son John, his wife Ann, and a daughter Ann wre in the household. They were members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church for 50 years. Christian and Elizabeth are buried in TABLER Cem., Berkeley Co. BIBLE RECORD (BR32, WBBE1, 8, 11-12, WVBEB3, 7 p108-110, WVNP2) Children:

In 1850 John and family were living with his parents Christian and Elizabeth TABLER. In the 1870 census, john, is listed as a farmer with real estate worth $1500, and a personal estate of $500. In the household are two black domestic servants, Anne Mosby age 26, and Leanna Jackson. Also living with them are Christian and Elizabeth TABLER, John's parents. (BR32, WEBE11, 13) Children:
