50.2 John A. LEMASTER, b. 5 Oct 1814, Berkeley Co., VA, d. 20 Nov 1893, Berkeley Co., WV, s/o John and Nancy Ann (SHIVELY) LEMASTER, m. 16 Feb 1841, Berkeley Co., VA, Ruhann (Ruvan) TABLER, b. c1813, Berkeley Co., VA, d/o Phillip Henry and Mary (OLLER) TABLER (see LEMASTER Family #50). The suretor for the marriage was Joshua TABLER, her brother, the minister was John Light. She d. prior to 1867. John m. 2nd., 21 Apr 1867, Berkeley Co., WV, Harriet Ann GROVE STRITE, a widow who has son Isaac, and who was the d/o John and Isabella GROVE. Harriet was b. 1831, and d. 12 Mar 1909 in Berkeley Co., WV. John A. LEMASTER was a farmer by trade. They lived on land inherited from her father, land he bought from son Peter TABLER. In 1850 through 1880, John was farming in Berkeley Co. In 1870 John's family was enumerated with Isaac STALEY. All the above were buried in Smoketown Cemetery, but the graves were not located. 50.2a John Henry LEMASTER, b. 15 Jan 1842, Berkeley Co., VA, d. 18 Apr 1924, Hagerstown, Washington Co., MD, m. 1st. Anna Arbelia TABLER, b. 1852, Berkeley Co., VA, d/o Levi J. TABLER, d. 28 Dec 1899, Bedington, Berkeley Co., WV. John m. 2nd., 15 Dec 1910, Claudie E. MILLER. He enlisted on 18 Apr 1861 in the Confederate Army, Co. A, 2nd. VA Inf., from which he deserted in 1862, and enlisted  on 21 Jul 1862 at Grafton, WV, in the Union Army. He was a harness maker. (FH3)

50.2b Angeline Frances LEMASTER, b. c1843/44, m. William H. MCDONALD. In 1870 through 1880, William was a blacksmith in Berkeley Co.. In 1870, Ann LEMASTER and Rauleigh Price, an apprentice blacksmith were in the household. In 1880 Ann and Miranda LEMASTER were in the home. (FH3, WVBEB6, WVBE14-15) Children:

50.2c Theodore Myers LEMASTER, b. c1844, d. 1920s, in Sedro Wooley, WA. He m. Mary ____ who was part Indian. There were no children. He was drafted into the Confederate Army in Charles Town, VA, when he was taken from a harness shop where he was an apprentice. He deserted to the Union Army after two years. In both armies, he was a harness maker. (FH3)

50.2f George Hamilton LEMASTER, b. 18 Jan 1851, Berkeley Co., WV, d. 16 Dec 1921, Mansfield, Richland Co., OH, m. 10 Dec 1873, Berkeley Co., WV, Elizabeth Jane TAYLOR, b. 20 Apr 1850/55?, Berkeley Co, d/o William Henry and Matilda (SPRINKLE) TAYLOR, d. 2 Feb 1934. In 1880, George was a laborer living in Falling Waters, Berkeley Co. They settled in Mansfield, OH. (FH3, WVBEB6. WVBE1, 15) Children:

50.2h Laura Miranda LEMASTER, b. 1857, d. 1946, m. Charles RANDALL, b. 1860, d. 1922. In 1880, she was residing with sister Angeline and husband, William MCDONALD. See the 1880 census for 52.2b(FH3)

50.2h2 Goldie Miranda RANDALL, b. 11 May 1883, m. Marion K. HUMPHRIES, b. 17 Mar 1873, d. 20 Jun 1958.

50.2i Ashmon Shively LEMASTER, b. 1858, m. Mary Virginia BENDER, b. 1850, d. 1942. In the 1860 census, Ashmon is listed as 2 years of age (b. c1858); in the 1870 census, a child fitting  the same age is listed as Shively, age 12, b. c1858. Additional records are needed to verify that Ashmon and Shively are indeed the same person. In the family history (FH3) he is listed as Shively. (FH3, WVBE13, 14). Children:
