50 John LEMASTER, b. 25 Sep 1778, Bern/Robeson Twp., Berks Co., PA, s/o Andrew and  Barbara (HECK) LEMASTER, d. 2 Mar 1825, Berkeley Co., VA., m. ?, (51) Nancy Ann SHIVELY, b. 1789, d. 5 May 1871. The suretor for this marriage was John H. Wilson, the minister John Light. He had m. 1st. Elizabeth ____?, by whom he had son, William. He moved from Franklin Co., PA, to Berkeley Co., VA in 1812, purchased land on the Opequon Creek nr. Greensburg from James Foreman. The LEMASTER House was is a stone house built c1812. The house, now in ruin, was built by John LEMASTER. A picture of the house appears in the architectural history of Berkeley Co.They are buried in MYERS Cemetery, Berkeley Co. His will was filled both in Berkeley Co., VA, and Franklin Co., PA. In his will, he released his slaves, Andrew and Kesia, and gave them a house in Morgan Co., He named his wife, Nancy, sons William and John, daughters Elizabeth Ann, Margaret, and Eliza, an equal share to any unborn children, his brothers George, Philip, and Daniel; brother George to be the executor of the will. Edmund Randall, William Morrison, and John Cross were witnesses. In 1850, Ann LAYMASTER and son James, a miller, are residing with son-in-law, John R. CROOK, in Berkeley Co., VA. 50.1 William LEMASTER, b. 10 Jun 1811, Franklin Co., PA?, was the son of John LEMASTER and his first wife (name unknown). He went to OH at an early age, and may be the progenitor of the Nebraska LEMASTERS. (FH3)

50.4 Margaret LEMASTER, b. 6 Oct 1820, d. 1901, Wyandot Co., OH, m. 22 Oct 1839, Berkeley Co., VA, Henry NICHOLS, b. 1810, VA, d. 31 Jan 1879, age 68, Wyandot Co., OH.. The suretor for the marriage was JOhn H. Wilson, the minister, John Light. They moved to OH, in 1842, settling in Tiffin, Seneca Co.  In 1850, They were in Mexico, Eden Twp., Seneca Co., OH; in 1860, they were in Tymochlee Twp, Wyandot Co., OH. It is interesting to note that Amos and Daniel K. NICHOLS, sons of #57, Mary (KAIN NICHOLS) MILLER, also migrated to Seneca Co., OH. Henry may have been a cousin to these brothers. They are buried in Mexico Cem., Wyandot Co. (FH3, OHSE2, 3, OHWDB1, 3-5, OHWD3, WVBE1) Children:

50.4a John W. NICHOLS b. 23 Jul 1840, d. 18 Feb 1930, Wyandot Co., OH, m. Eliza Jane ROGERS, b. 2 Aug 1844, d. 26 Jan 1896, Wyandot Co. John was a Civil War veteran. They are buried in Old Sycamore Cem., Sycamore Twp., Wandot Co. (OHSEB5)

50.4d Eliza NICHOLS b. c1848, VA, m. 14 Nov 1865, Wyandot Co., OH, Job BAKER, b. 27 Mar 1843, Seneca Co., OH, s/o Richard and Fannie (WHEELER) BAKER, natives of NY, who migrated to OH in 1835. Job purchased 140 acres of land in Crawford Co., and lived there until 1873. He sold out and bought 210 acres in Seneca Co.. He was engaged in farming and stock raising. He fought in the Civil War in Co., B, 49th Regiment, Ohio Vol. Infantry, and was discharged in 1863. After the war, he continued to far, specializing in stock raising. (OHWDB1) Children:

50-5 Ann Eliza LEMASTER, b. 18 Mar 1822, Berkeley Co., WV, m. 7 Aug 1843, John R. CROOK, b. c1816, VA. John was a miller. They migrated to Kent Co., MI. In 1850, Elizabeth LEMASTER was livingin the household, also Margaret Butt. In 1870, there were in Lowell, Kent Co., MI. (FH3, LE31, MIKE4, WVBE1, 11) Children:

50.5a William CROOK, b. c1847, VA, m. Sarah _____?, b. c1854, MI (her parents natives of NY and OH). They were living in Washington Twp., Gratiot, MI in 1880. William may have been counted twice in the 1870 census, once with his parents, and then as farm laborer, enumerated with Ephraim Booth, also in Lowell, MI. (MIGR3, MIKE4) Children:

50.5b Elizabeth Ann CROOK, b. 22 May 1850, Berkeley Co., VA, d. 17 Apr 1918, Lowell, Kent Co., MI, buried Lowell Cemetery, m. 1st., 29 Sep 1870, Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI, Samuel J. THOMPSON, (1880 census b. 1840?) bapt. 22 Jun 1834, Salop Shropshire, Eng., s/o Thomas and Martha THOMPSON, d. 5 Mar 1893, Lowell, MI. He was a farmer. Elizabeth Ann m. 2nd, 24 Oct 1894, Lowell, MI, Augustus BARNES, b. Sep 1836, NY (his parents were natives of NY and CAN).. In 1880, Elizabeth was living with her husband Samuel in Lowell, and she was also living in Lowell in 1900 with her 2nd. husband. (LE31, MIKE5-6) Children:
