218 Samuel FUNK, b. Germany, m. prior to 1750, (219) Barbara EAVEY, b. Germany. After their marriage, they emigrated to Maryland and settled at the head waters of Beaver Creek in Washington Co., MD. Samuel and Barbara were Mennonites. Came to  America in 1748 from the wine district in the Rhine, and settled near. Hagerstown, Washington Co WILL (FH25, MDWA3) Children:

218.1 Samuel FUNK, b. 10 Jan 1750, Beaver Creek, Washington Co., MD, d. 15 Aug 1840, age 90y 7m 5d, m. Maria HOUSER, b. 23 Dec 1757, Beaver Creek, d. 7 Nov 1829, aged 71y 10m 15d. Samuel was a farmer and miller. He owned a mill on Beaver Creek, Washington Co. They were Mennonites. (FH25) Children:

218.1h Catherine 'Kitty' FUNK, lived in Washington Co., MD, until after the death of her father, b. 24 Aug 1797, Beaver Creek, Washington Co., m. Jacob RICE (who was previously m. to Mary ROWLAND, d. 1880, age 85, and had 12 children. After the death of her husband, she resided with stepson Isaac RICE. She was related to Mrs. Samuel FUNK, Andrew FUNK, Mrs. John W. KAYLOR, Mrs. C. A. WEAGLEY, and Mrs. William E. FUNK, all of Washington Co. An account of her life written in a local Ogle Co., IL newspaper can be seen in the obituary section, USGENWEB, IL, Ogle Co. SR: MDWA2 p1280;

218.2 Martin FUNK, settled at Warriors Mark, Huntingdon Co., PA. Martin was a farmer. He m. Barbara ETNIRE (EDNIRE). They were Mennonites. (FH25) Children:
