NOTE: According to my research, and what I have gleaned from others, the following information on the FRUSHOUR Family is presented. I welcome any information that would aid in identifying the descendants of Jacob FRUSHOUR, especially the grandchildren in that period of 1800 to 1840, when there is little or no supporting documentation that I have found to date (Jan 2008).

, d. after 1788 and bef. 28 May 1806, s/o Hans Georg and Catharina (GRAF) FRUSHOUR (324), when wife Anna Margaret, listed as widow at a grandchild's baptism, m. (163) Anna Maria GERNHART, d/o Heinrich GERNHART. Jacob came to PA from GER with his parents in 1732. On 12 Apr 1757, he sponsored Johan Jacob Berg s/o Samuel and Maria. In 1760 he sponsored Johannes FRUSHOUR in York Co., PA. In 12 Oct 1762 he sponsored d/o Georg and Magdalena FRUSHOUR. On 18 Aug 1763 sponsored d/o Georg FRUSHOUR at Christ Reformed Church, Littletown, in York Co., PA. In 1764, 8 Jan, received survey for 'Mad bottom; on 21 Mar Jacob and wife sponsored Jacob s/o Philip  Jacob and Barbara LEHMAN; on 12 May he sponsored Robert Davi at Muddy Creek Lutheran, in Lancaster Co., PA. and on 18 Dec 1764, he received the deed for Ungher Land from Conrad Hickman, 93 acres for 351 lbs. In 1765, on the 24 Sep Jacob was naturalized at St. Anne's, Annapolis, MD, witnessed by James Davidson and Phillip Williams; he sponsored a child of Wendel FRUSHOUR, and he patented 23 acres on 'Mad Bottom. In 1774, on the 14th of Oct, Jacob and wife sponsored Johan Jacob Christ s/o Jacob and Catharina Christ. In 1775 on 23 Nov, Jacob was a 2nd. Corporal in Capt. Stull's Co., in the MD Militia., and on 29 Nov Jacob was on the list of Associates in Frederick Co. In 1776 Jacob witnessed the Marriage of Edward Tyrrella and Mary Baty, and on 1 Dec he and his wife sponsored Maria Elisabeth d/o Henrich and Susannah GERNHART. On 3 Mar 1777 he was a corporal in Capt. Stull's 4th. of 33rd. Battery of MD Militia in NJ, and on 26 Mar Jacob was named the executor of Katherina GERNHART'S will. In 1778  on 30 Apr he procured Adam Mushler to serve in his stead for 3 years of service in the German Regiment, and on 21 Sep he sponsored Johan Jacob LICKLITER s/o Conrad and daughter, Anna Margaretha. In 1781, on 22 Jul Jacob and wife sponsored Anna Maria Christ d/o Phillip. In 1783, on 18 Aug, Jacob received from Charles Beatty 10 3/4 acres part of resurvey of 'Puzzler'. In 1786 1786 on 3 Sep 1786, he and his wife sponsored twin daughters of Peter and Barbara Smeltzer. In 1788, on 5 Jan he received from John FRUSHOUR 200 acres part of resuvey of  'Gearnols', and on 2 Sep Jacob and wife sponsored Jacob s/o Conrad and Margaretha LECHLITER. IN 1789, 1 Nov Anna widow of Jacob sponsored Jacob s/o Jacob and Catharina LEHMAN. In the 1790 census of Frederick Co., Maria had 4 males under 16, and 2 females in the household. On 23 Oct Mary filed the final account of Jacob's estate. In 1800 Jacob's land was sold to Jacob LAYMAN and tenants in common, Jacob and George FRUSHOUR, and Conrad LECHLITER. In 1804, the division of Jacob's land names the children (see WILL), and on 14 Aug, Conrad LECHLITER appointed commissioner for portion of land of Jacob FRUSHOUR, including 10 acres part of dower of Maria. On 1806, on 28 May, Anna Maria sponsored d/o Conrad and Anna Margaretha LECKLITER, and 2nd. daughter of Jacob and Anna Maria FRUSHOUR.In 1807, on 26 Oct, he second final settlement of Jacob's estate, with George FRUSHOUR, as administrator. In 1826, on 23 Jan the house belonging to the heirs of Jacob burned to the ground in Frederick. 162.1 Johann Adam FRUSHOUR b. 21 Feb 1761, m. 24 Sep 1799, Frederick Co., MD, Margaretha 'Margaret' WANDLE, d/o Jacob and Magdalena WANDLE. In 1800, Johann has 1 male 16-26 (Johann), 1 female 0-10 (Sophia), and one female 16-26 (Margaretha). (FH20, MDFRB9, 33, 41, 49, MDFR1, 2) Children:

162.1d Adam FRUSHOUR b. 8 Jun 1807, m. 15 Aug 1831, Frederick Co., MD, by David F. Shaffer, Lydia _____? b. c1814. In 1850 and 1860, Adam was a shoemaker in Frederick, Frederick Co., with Henry James 38, a cooper in the household. In 1860, Polly WANDLE, age 70, probably an aunt, is in the home. In 1870, Adam is a saloon keeper in Frederick; son John M. and his family are living with them, with William Lease 18, an apprentice cooper, and Rebecca Lease 13, Barbara Brunner 16, William Booth 24, a domestic, and Levi Miller 40, a day laborer in the home. In 1880, they are still living in Frederick. Adam's will written 17 Oct 1870, probated 13 Feb 1881, names wife, Lydia Ann, son John, and Barbara Brunner. Barbara was living in the home in 1870, and may not be related. An incident reported by Jacob Englebright on Jul 15 1862 at the home of Adam FRUSHOUR. "Edward Jordan of KS, a U.S. teamster was shot this  morning at Adam FRUSHOUR'S house at 5th. Street and Locust Allen, in which Adam attempted to shoot him with his shotgun, but it miss fired twice, when he got his revolver and shot him somewhere in the neck. Jordan was not dead at 1st. account, but Dr. (Charles Smith) thinks he can not recover. Adam held on $100 bail. (Jul 19, 1862, Jordan still lingering). Jordan's disposition says he was shot by  David FRUSHOUR who was arrested by Officer Fred Kehler and and is now in jail." Englebright doesn't report the disposition of the case against David FRUSHOUR. He must have survived an penalties, because he died in the Civil War 2 years later. 162.2e Johannes FRUSHOUR b. 7 Jan 1810, Frederick, Frederick Co., MD, d. 20 Sep 1832, Frederick, of cholera. On 13 Mar 1827, Johannes helped Jacob Englebright, plant trees in the Lutheran  Graveyard. Johannes is buried there. He probably does not show up as an individual in the 1830 census. (MDFRB32, 41)

After Martha Jane's death, he m. her sister, Lavinia E. (see 162.6a6 above). In 1900 and 1910 Denton was in Taylor Co., IA with Lavinia.
