My Recipes
Anyone who knows me, even just a little bit, knows I am not the best person to be in a kitchen. However, I have realized that if I ever want to have a family, or a decent meal, I must learn to cook. Now don't get me wrong, I can cook...Kraft Dinner (my fave), perogies, anything from a can.  But that is just about my limit. However, with my new job, I have developed a WANT to learn in the kitchen.  This page will be for all the recipes I have found and tried out at home. I will rate them in my own way and give any extra hints or advice. I hope that someone reading this page sees something they like, tries it out and lets me know what they think....So please do...and enjoy the tasty treats! Yummy!!
Pizza wraps

With this recipe, amount of ingredients is up to you. It all depends on your taste buds. You can change ingredients if you want to. This is just what I tried and
really enjoyed...I know you will too...

Ingredients:

sundried tortilla shells
pizza sauce
Pepperoni
sliced ham
green and red peppers
mushrooms
black olives
red onions
pineapple
Nacho 3 cheese grated mix

How to:

Preheat oven to 375F. Take a tortilla shell a put it flat out on the counter and lightly spread the pizza sauce all around it.  Now put the rest of the ingredients, in the order in which they are listed, layered in the middle of the shell.  Adjust for taste. To fold the shell, take the top and bottom of the shell and fold in then take the sides and fold. (This should almost look like a box) Flip shell over so the seam is facing down and put on a cookie sheet.  If done right nothing should leak (it takes some practice and ALOT of patience) Now sprinkle a bit of cheese on top and put in the oven for about 10-15min.  Take out and enjoy.

My Thoughts:

After my first one, I discovered what I liked and didn't like in my wrap. I found the peppers a bit over powering and not enough pineapples. Other than that they were excellent.  Darrin did try his in the microwave for 2mins on high. The only difference is the oven makes them crispier. This is a quick meal to do up for lunch or dinner, especially if you have everything prechopped in the fridge.  Little plastic containers are great for this.  It is easy to adjust this recipe without anything backfiring on me (or you). A great side dish to accompliment this, a garden salad with cucumber dressing!!!

Rating:

Difficulty: 2 - the only tough part is folding it...but it is easy after a couple of tries
Taste: 9 - Pizza is always tasty
Heathly: 8 - can substitute sundried tomatoe shell for a whole wheat or soy shell.
Kid friendly: 9 - kids will love this! They can even make their own and choose what they want in it. No more arguing on the phone with the local pizza shop.
Overall: 9 - I enjoying something quick and easy to make but also fills the tummy.
