A national race
A state-by-state look:
Illinois
Northwestern: A battleground between Andy Kim and Rebecca Tsang.  Kim has much of the underclassmen while Tsang has the upperclassmen.
Illinois - Urbana-Champaign: Big one. Kim had a lot of help here during his primary win but ?Tsang is getting a ton of publicity here.
-- U of Chicago is Tsang's, UIC goes to Kim.
Southern California
No contest here - Eunice Byun will send SoCal Becca's way.
Northern California
Toss up.  Brian Kwan says he has pull up here, but Sarah Yu, Evan Hung and Mike Yao will contest.
Indiana
Purdue and Notre Dame seem to go to Becca, but Kim says he can get some of Purdue. Hannah Kim is from South Bend, so we're gonna give the nod to Becca.
Iowa
Cow country. Angela Chung Country. Therefore, Becca Country
Maryland
Grace Kim has MD locked up for Tsang.
Massachusetts
Big state. Andrew Ong versus Sam Yang.  A toss-up.
Michigan
A key state. Tsang has a sister who attends the University of Michigan, while Alan Allmen is from outside Detroit. But Michelle Kim says she has UMich "in the bag".
New Jersey
Andy Kim's strongest state. Mike Yao may not be able to do it all himself, however.
New York
Brian Kwan says he's got this. Kirk Kao says he isn't getting involved. Is Dave Chan going to get involved?  Does Andy Kim have anyone here?
Ohio
Rachel Lee is the only active participant here, but Tsang has friends in Ohio.
Texas
Newton Li and Tony Sham make UT-Austin Beccaland, although Joyce Lee might take some votes away.
Virginia
If Dave Ro decides to actively participate, he can help Kim out here.
Wisconsin
Tsang says she has connections here, and no presence so far from Kim.

Key: Black is neutral, Red is Becca Tsang's strong states, Blue is Andy Kim's, Green is Will Ethridge
Announcement:
For those of you who are campaigning for your candidates, can you make sure to tell all those voting to include the name of their college (or state, if they're not in college).  It's optional, and simply for curiosity sake.  Thanks!
Preview: Tsang seeks to slam door on underdog opponents
By Sam Hong
Daily 1835
There are less than 24 hours to go before over hundreds of people across the country will vote and choose a president.  And two questions remain:
1. Is
Rebecca Tsang really that unbeatable?
and 2.  Is
Andy Kim even trying to keep pace?
It's well known that Tsang has networks of support that are all lined up to vote for her on Monday, and judging by all the profile and xanga air time that she's getting, many have been muttering that this race isn't even going to be close.
Andy Kim, again, finds himself as the underdog.  He didn't campaign very heavily in the primary but still managed to steal a victory against heavily favored Newton Li.  But Kim has recently been swamped with school work and has beeen occupied with a host of other issues to deal with, leaving him little energy to aggresively campaign.
(Kim issues speech on his xanga)
But Tsang has had her share of things to do also. Tsang is seeking admittance into medical school next year and has been taking a lot of time to collect money for her Dance Marathon fund, much like Kim has.
  Throw in
William Ethridge, who is seeking a pool of voters that will go largely untouched by both Kim and Tsang.  Ethridge, who is planning on splitting the prize money equally among the three candidates, prefers Kim to win over Tsang, partly because Kim is a current resident of 1835 Hinman. (Ethridge releases huge advertisement blitz)
But don't write off Kim, since he shocked everyone by winning the primary.  But since he's already done it once, Tsang will probably make sure that she garners enough support to disallow Kim any wiggle room to create another upset.
Meanwhile, Tsang and her campaign are far from declaring victory and promise that it will be a very close race.
But one things for sure, we should all feel very very sorry for the SINGLE person who has to sift through possibly 1,500 ballots (maybe more) on Monday.
He is the real loser of this electon!

Keys to winning the election
Candidates must secure those closest to them.  For Tsang, she much get all her supporters at Northwestern to vote early to establish the fact that all this pre-election hype wasn't fake.  If she can get out to an early lead that seems way too great to overcome, it might be over.  Becca needs to secure CFC and the rest of U of I, as well as have Eunice Byun deliver Southern California.

For Kim, he must get his supporters at NU (though they may be fewer in number) to campaign HARD in their home states. Alan Allmen must work it in Michigan. Kim must also tell his supporters to reach out to areas that Tsang can't touch.

Ethridge can't appear like he has no shot.  He needs to look like he's viable in the early returns and keep pushing.  If he's not viable by Monday afternoon, he might drop out early.
