Taichi Yagami - Taichi is the child of courage, also known as Tai Kamiya in the American version of Digimon Adventure. He is the goggle headed leader of the pack, kinda dumb but...heck, he learns. In the first adventure, he is 11, I believe, and then 13 in Adventure 02. (Not highschool e_e; ) He fights a lot with Yama in the first adventure, as you probably know already. Those little rough boys ^_~ Taichi can be dumb and is over confident most of the time, the poor boy. He has chocolate brown hair and the same goes for his eyes. He loves playing soccer, he is the sporty type. Check out his family. His Japanese voice actress (yes, girl) is Fujita Toshiko and his English voice actor is Joshua Seth.
Yamato Ishida - Here is our little boyband member, also known as Matt ^-^ Hehe, Yamato is quite the moody guy, child of friendship. He gets jealous of Taichi a lot but only out of concern for the others. You can only agree with him for when he sees that their leader is a moron, he worries. He is very pretty, a blonde with blue eyes. In the first adventure he is 11, then 13 in the second. He is a very musical person, all troubled souls are, aren't they? Poor boy, he's got issues. I mean, things just don't go right for him sometimes, he gets confused. Look at his family and see what made him grumpy.
Koushiro Izumi - Poor Koushiro, they changed his name to...*cringes* Izzy. That's like something you would name a cat or a dog e_e; Erm, anyway, Koushiro is one of the brightest, if not smartest, of the group. That makes him the child of knowledge. He is actually pretty young, in adventure 1, he is 10...I think x_x; In Adventure 02 he is 12? Sorry, the dub messed me up age-wise. All I know is that they aren't in Highschool, none of them. Well, Koushiro is the smart one...they made him a lot more humorous in the dub but...whatever, I guess. He is quite a lovable character, even if he is a little compy-obsessed ^_~ See his family story.
Sora Takenouchi - Hey, lookie here, this is one character whose name they didn't mess with ^_^! Of course, they chose the most horrid character not to mess with -_-; I'm sorry, but Sora is...ugh. She is the child of love. She is Taichi and Yama's age. In Adventure 02 she has a thing with Yama, but dun worry Taichi, it won't last ^_~ There is really nothing to like about Sora...much less anything to say about her, so...Yeah.
Mimi Tachikawa - Hee, the cutest Digimon girl ever ^_^ They actually didn't change her name either, in the English version. Mimi is Koushirou's age, the prissy little thing. She always seems to be complaining and is kind of bratty, but we love her. She is quite the airhead and is full of pride like Taichi. She is the child of sincerity, which really is just a nicer term for mean ^^;; Mimi isn't really mean, she is just bluntly opinionated. Her Japanese voice actress is Ai Maeda, the same lady who sings most of the ending songs for the series, she's quite pretty too. In the episode where Mimi has to sing to wake up that one digimon (excuse me, I forgot his name x_x; ), she is actually supposed to sound good ^^;; Unlike the English version, where Mimi didn't sound so good... The song she was supposed to sing was the first ending song for Digimon, I Wish.
Jyou Kidou - Hehe, "Joe" is our smarty-geek type. He is underappreciated, actually, I really like him. He is also smart, like Koushiro, but not really in technical terms. He is just the most common-sense smart one of the bunch ^_^ He is also really loyal to his friends, even when they treat him like he's not important v_v This makes him the child of reliability. Jyou is the oldest, he is 12 in the first adventure and 15(??) in the second. He is the one in highschool...-_-;; I dunno what they said about him in the English version (college?) but they are wrong. There was also some kind of conflict with Jou's brothers...>.o Find out what I'm talking about in family.
Takeru Takaishi - Hee, it's Yama's cutesy little brother ^_^ You might wonder why Yamato's brother doesn't have the same last name as him, right? Well, it's all because their parents split up, causing Yama much pain u_u! So Yamato lives with his dad and Takeru, aka T.K., with his mom, Natsuko. Natusko is so great, I really like her ^_^ In Adventure 1 Takeru is...8 or something close to that, right? Eh, anyway, he is the youngest child for a while, being the crybaby that people have to look after. Poor Yamato, he was all stressed out over Takeru v_v Takeru is the child of hope, cutesy no? In Adventure 02, he becomes one of the main characters which is pretty cool, I guess, since he didn't play a great part in 01.
Hikari Yagami - Hikari, or Kari, is Taichi's little sister. She is the same age as Takeru and gets to be friends with him because of it, I guess. She is a very happy kid, caring about everyone...Eh, she is overly sweet >.o I mean, I loved her in 01, but...then she grew up and gah, everything went wrong. She is one of the last to go to the digital world, so she gets to be a main character in 02 also. She is the child of light, quite a strong thing, I guess. She must have some kind of angst hidden inside because that "darkness" that keeps taking Ken takes her too. Oh well, Hikari was great in 01.
Daisuke Motomiya - Whoo ^o^ Goggle Boy no. two! Hee, Daisuke (whose name was changed to Davis), is like Taichi's clone. I mean that in the best of ways though, it's like another Taichi, who wouldn't love that? He is actually even dumber than Taichi, but not by much. He is made to be a lot stupider in the English version than he really was in the Japanese version. It's quite sad, but I guess it doesn't matter, Daisuke is dumb which is really the point. He is hot-headed and is all about action. He gets the digimentals of Courage and Friendship, which makes him part Taichi and part Yama ^_^ In the beginning, he has this little crush Hikari, but then Ken comes along and catches his eye, hehe. He didn't really stand a chance with Hikari though, I mean...it'd be gross to be with someone like your brother. Daisuke is quite friendly with Ken, accepting him before anyone else. Aww, our cute little dumb goggle boy.
Miyako Inoue - I don't get where these English people got Yolei from Miyako, (well, I guess there is a Y in there) but that is her English dub name >.o She is a little annoying sometimes, but a good person. She always gets these funny crushes on guys ^_^ She gets the digimentals of love and sincerity. Blunt like Meems, loving like Sora. She's good with computers, takes after Koushiro, kind of. She's always kind of moody, but I like her a lot, she's funny. She has a complicated family x_x; I don't even have pics of all her siblings, which is actually only three others... Anyway, she lives in Takeru's appartment building along with Iori.
Iori Hida - I do apologize, for I don't know much about this character. His dub name is Cody, which is far off from Iori... He is the youngest in Adventure 02, but not by too much. He reminds me a lot of Wufei, the Gundam pilot XD; But, ehem...that's a whole other thing. He gets the digimentals of knowledge and reliablity, which make him a pretty dull character. The funny thing is that he is smarter than Daisuke XD All of the other 02 children, for that matter. The bad thing is he holds a mean grudge against Ken.
Ken Ichijouji - It's the Kaizer! ^_^ This poor boy might be a little more troubled than poor Yamato, even. He is the Digimon Kaizer (digimon emperor) for a while in the beginning of 02, but then Daisuke (and the others, I guess -_-) help change him back. I loved his Kaizer days though ^_^; Check out what is making him so full of angst. After being so mean to everybody, he gets around and is pretty friendly with the other kids, specially Daisuke. He is actually the child of kindness, get the irony? o_O; Ken's a great guy, actually.
