Yu-Gi-Oh! is the story of how one pharaoh who lived back in ancient egypt re-discovers his past while kicking some major butt at the card game Duel Monsters at the same time. From what I know, when all of the millennium items are reunited, it could either grant someone enough power to take over the entire world, or help to save the world itself. Therefore, everyone wants its power. Spirits who lived 4000 years ago reside within these Millenium items and occassionally (or more so) like to take over the conscienceness of the bearer of the millenium item. Most of these spirits have special powers from the good 'ol days when they lived back in ancient egypt. While other spirits of the millenium items are too dangerous to ever be let out. Even now, duels of the modern-day version of the Egyptian game, "Duel Monsters" are being played out to determine who it will be to possess all of the millennuim items... |
