| Couple #1: Jonouchi + Mai In my mind, this is the most obvious of them all. Jonouchi and Mai are the perfect couple. This is shown many many times during the anime, especially after the Battle City season. Jounouchi shows feelings for Mai throughout the entire show, mind you, but they are the strongest after Malik does a certain something to Mai. Poor Mai! :( |
| Couple #2: Yami + Yugi I personally cannot imagine this couple. Other than the fact that Yugi and Yami would have to separate themselves if they did want to have any type of relationship, I just think that it would be awkward. I do not oppose the people who support this couple, either, it is just that I cannot see it happening. |
| Couple #3: Kaiba + Yugi Here is yet again another couple that I cannot see will develop in the near future. Other than the fact that Kaiba has this strange obsession in persuing Yugi in everything that he does, I personally do not think that Yugi's interested. Sorry, Kaiba. :( |
| Couple #4: Bakura + Malik Yes! Two psychotic killers should find happiness aside from "sending people to the shadow realm"! These two are a match made in heaven, for all of the reasons that the English version cut out. For example, when the Ishtar family was protecting the pharoh's tombs back in Ancient Egypt, Malik readily (Yami) Bakura in. There has to be another reason behind that! ~_^ |
| Couple #5: Honda + Ootogi Ah, yes, the forgotten side characters. I once thought that Honda had no personality, but one episode proved me wrong: He is actually hiding a deep, dark secret. Later in the third season of Yu-Gi-Oh!, there was a split second shown (in a scene after the episode where Mai was ruined by Malik). Of Honda and Ootogi (creator of Dungeon Dice Monsters) were sleeping with their legs intertwined. If you do not believe me, I have a picture to prove it! | Couple #6: Anzu + Yami I think that the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! had intended for them to become a couple in the first place, but I would have to disagree. I honestly do not think that the both of them would make it very far. I mean, in the episode where they went out on a "date", Yami hardly seemed interested in what Anzu wanted to do at all! Sorry, but I need more convincing before I can ever see these two together. |
| Couple # 7: Isis + Kaiba This couple I like, although I am unsure about if it will work out. Isis Ishtar was once the High priestess to Yami, and Kaiba was once the High Priest (back in Ancient Egypt). I like the concept that maybe back in their former lives, they may have had some more interaction with each other. However, with Kaiba's more freakish obsession with Yugi, I think that Isis gets ignored by him too much. Maybe it's just me... |
