LEARNING

I am a graduate of Pearl City High School.  I went on to get my bachelors in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  The most important thing I've learned in life is that you need to keep learning.  Once you stop learning you are basically on your way to becoming extinct - just like the dinosaurs.  And not only that you have to learn how to learn.  There is a method to learning.  To find out more about me check out my resume.

MY WORK

I'm a Sales Engineer at Carrier Hawaii.  To break it down I'm part salesman and part engineer.  I've learned so much being in sales and it helped me to grow in terms of confidence, and in my social skills.  Being in sales you get to know and interact with so much people and that in itself has made a big difference in my life.  I've made a lot of friends just because of the position that I'm in.  I'd say it's the fun part of my job.  The engineer part of me is what I call the Carrier Expert.  I've been working with Carrier equipment since I've graduated from college, and I know it pretty well.  So what do I do for a living?  In a nutshell I sell Carrier air conditioning equipment.  To be more specific, I help Mechanical Consultants and Mechanical Contractors design and select the air conditioning equipment for different applications from residential to commercial to industrial.  I'm involved with everything from selecting the equipment to ordering to troubleshooting during installation.

Carrier Hawaii is the largest independent air conditioning distributor in the state of Hawaii.  I've been fortunate enough to be part of a team that's always set the standard for excellence.  Carrier Hawaii has the largest inventory of air conditioning equipment, parts and controls.  Everything from residential ductless splits to 15 ton ducted splits for commercial application.  We also have rooftop units to water source heat pumps.  Our main headquarters in Waipio.  We have stores in Honolulu, Kona on the Big Island, and are currently working on opening up another store in Maui and Kauai this year.
