Who are we?

DADP
is a non-profit company and membership organization that has established itself as the voice for the cross-disability, consumer-based, self-help movement in Dominica.
DADP was formed on October 26, 1983 by nine disabled persons to act as the representative body on matters pertaining to the welfare and holistic development of persons with disabilities.
DADP has been developing the capacity of the organization, building membership and developing management skills as well as offering diverse training programs to persons with disabilities for  twenty five years.
DADP is an active partner with regional and international organizations devoted to improve the status of persons with disabilities.

   What do we do?

For more than twenty years, DADP has been leading Dominica's cross-disability, consumer-based, self-help movement.
The Association has;
Trained dozens of disabled people in independent living, income-generating skills and leadership skills.
Secured medical treatment locally and overseas for many persons.
Raised public awareness about the abilities and needs of persons with disabilities.
Oversaw adoption by the Government of a national policy on issues related to persons with disabilities.
Built a national headquarters.
Established a blind cricket team.
Worked effectively regionally and internationally on the status of persons with disabilities.



The Dominica association of Disabled People (D.A.D.P.)
is located on canal lane Goodwill on the right hand side of the lane after the phone booth.
It is the lilac building one will see upon arrival of the lane.
