| This site is dedicated to the writings and ramblings of North Carolina siblings Debbie and Eric (that would be the Dark Maiden and Grey Boy from the title). Neither one of them knows anything about webpage design, because they are simply writers. They write. That is all. Debbie, the webmistress of this site, does not know much HTML and does not plan on ever knowing much HTML; therefore, if you want a beautifully handcrafted site, you have come to the wrong place. Debbie does all the graphics in Adobe Photoshop, uploads them into Geocities Pagebuilder, and slaps something together from there. A few of the pages were done with straight HTML, and those are the pages that look like crap. In spite of those pages, Debbie thinks the site looks pretty good, considering, but she's always open to suggestions about how she could improve itas long as you are volunteering to implement said suggestions your own damn self. (Have we mentioned that Debbie lives a full and busy life? She doesnt want to learn anything new or do anything difficult. Shell leave that to you). No, Dark Maiden & Grey Boy isnt a masterpiece of webdesign. But dont despairEric and Debbie still have some cool stuff for you. Debbies El Tango de Fernando isproof that she needs a psychiatrist very, very badly. And if you arent big into fiction, you might want to check out the review section, Pimpin It, or the sibs riffs on daily life, A Funny Thing Happened. For the religious minded, theres Holy CrapDeb and Erics prayers for the young and somewhat blasphemous. You can also read about the train wreck that is Debbies daily life in her livejournal, check out Eric and Debs page of funny/meaningful/insightful/kind of insane quotes, What You Said, or just try to get the hell out of here by checking out The Obligatory Links Page. If none of that appealswell, then, youre screwed, cause Debbie and Eric aint got nothin else. Well, they do have something else, sorta: Deb and Eric comment on each others work. If you click on the pretty little numbers buried in their nonfiction pieces, you will be taken to their wonderful and brutal comments about each others writing ability. Eric's are in blue, and Deb's are in red. Its fun to watch them tear each other apart. Really. Thank you for coming. We really do hope that you enjoy yourself. But if you dont, then for Gods sake dont whine to us about it! |
