Welcome to the web site of the Barefoot Christian Church of Akron. We are a non-denominational, current day/first century church that holds to the basics of the Christian faith.
I suppose you are wondering what a 'non-denominational, current day/first century church' is. Basically it means:
- We are not part of any 'denomination' and welcome all who believe Jesus Christ died for them so that they can go to heaven.
- We try to be relavent to the issues that face us today.
- We don't meet in a formal "Church" setting that discourages participation of the members. Rather, we meet in small informal settings where everyone is encouraged to contribute.
