| 02-JAN-04 Happy new year to all. Right now life is good. My room mates and I were just talking about our current situation and smiled at the prospect of being able to just 'go to sleep.' As you can probably tell, last term was BRUTAL. The marks are all good, probably the best I've done here so far, but I had very little semblence of a life and the glimmer that did exist was on the verge of dimming due to nervous breakdown. That's all in the past....for at least a couple of weeks I hope! October witnessed the coming of my new niece. Calmest baby ever...definately a gene or two bypassed me. Now my sister indeed has a family, which is quite scary as it means that I'm growing up, (kicking and screaming all the way). Right now I'm just trying to get ready for my new courses. I think I'm going to do something a little different this term and take less courses than normal...mostly because I have no idea what effect Winter BMQ (bootcamp) will have on my ability to cram. That starts next weekend--I'm still a little bit anxious seeing as I have absolutely no information about it yet (I'll get that at work on Thurs..2 (or maybe 1) days before I start........ All in all, it feels like it's going to be a good calendar year! (as opposed to my 'year'-the academic year-which I also hope will be amusing.) Cheers, DJ |
