The staff
David Bulla, who lives in Bloomington, Ind., is the editor of Ebbets Field. Bulla is a first-year graduate student in the School of Journalism at Indiana University. A graduate of UNC at Greensboro, Bulla worked as a sportswriter in North Carolina for the Greensboro News & Record, Durham Sun and Winston-Salem Chronicle. He has also been the adviser to school newspapers at Greensboro Dudley and Greensboro Smith high schools. He won a N.C. Press Association award for sports coverage in 1986-87. Joseph Pearlman, an attorney who lives in Charlotte, N.C., is the staff columnist for Ebbets Field. His op-ed columns have also appeared in the Raleigh News & Observer and the Charlotte Observer. He has written about sports for nearly two decades. The graduate of Davidson College and Wake Forest Law School worked for both the Greensboro News & Record and the Winston-Salem Journal. Bobby Booker Jr., a senior at Ben L. Smith High School in Greensboro, N.C., is a staff writer of Ebbets Field. He is executive editor of the award-winning WordSmith Newsmagazine and will begin study at UNC-Chapel Hill in August. Booker, who works for the Greensboro News & Record, plans to major in journalism. Rafat Ali, a Knight Fellow in the Journalism School at Indiana University, serves as a technical adviser to Ebbets Field. Ali, a native of Britain who grew up in India, teaches undergraduate classes at IU and is editor of Realism 2.0. Ali's favorite sports are badminton and cricket. He is a fan of bluesman B.B. King.
